The only player I feel should have been on the team is Jesse White from Whiteshield. Kid is a flatout baller. Only a soph though. Hopefully next year.

No problem at all with this list, but kind of thought Schumacher from Linton-HMB had a shot. Anyone who saw him play would agree with me. He is only a sophomore, though, and he got hurt right before the post-season. He also played on an 11-11 team. He is a good one, and I think he will be on this team the next 2 years.

I think being hurt at the end of the year and being a Sophomore and being on an 11-11 team all did him in like you said, but he is one of the most talented Sophomores I have seen in a long, long time. He will be the "man" for L-HMB for the next two years and like you said should be on the 2nd or 1st team for the next two years (barring another injury). He is one of the most complete offensive players I have seen in a while.

The biggest snub is the Undlin kid from MLS I don’t know if there are 5 kids in the state better than him.

“Friggin' Linton and their state-wide recruiting.”

Schumacher’s parents essentially moved “home.” Both grew up in Linton and are 1994 graduates of Linton High School. His mother’s parents, her only sister and her two brothers all live in Linton, as does his father’s mother. His dad played for Linton when they went to State BB in 1994. Wow! Any misinformation out there?

This stems from the Roemmich situation a few years ago

I know, but let it go. That was 2009-11. Take those years away and Linton has 18 State appearances and 2 State titles. A lot of schools would take that. Another thing is at least have your info right. There is another Roemmich family in Linton with five boys who were all born there and the last one will graduate from Linton next year. I attended a region track meet a few years ago when someone (an adult) yelled "go back to Bottineau" at one of the native Roemmichs while he was competing in the shot put. Really?

The whole state needs to 'let it go' a lot...you'd faint with what I've heard directed at HS students & athletes from schools people don't like in this state (Public and Private); it's mind-boggling sometimes. Adults yelling threats and obscenities at 13-18 year old athletes.

I was curious about this season, but those are certainly good career stats.

I can only give reasonable estimations on this season. I know when he scored his 1000th last year and he averaged over 10 rpg last year. This season I would assume would be around 23 ppg and 12 rpg. I just don’t wanna say something when I’m not 100%

It was a joke. I played against the Schumacher that graduated in '94 many times being a south-central ND guy. I know him. I should have typed "THIS IS SARCASM, NOBODY GET MAD." I thought inserting the smiley face at the end of the post might get the point across, but I guess not.

I remember Schumacher going coast to coast in 5.2 seconds vs Lehr-Wishek in the region semi-finals to win by 1 point. I don't remember who Linton ended up playing, but that whoever won that semi final game was going to be a big favorite in the championship.

Lehr-Wishek just took the lead on a lay-up by Ricky Welk with :05.2 left, and Schumacher went coast-to-coast for a lay-up to win it, 56-55. Linton beat Shiloh Christian, 72-46, the next night for the region title. Actually, Linton and Lehr-Wishek were favored to meet for the Region V title, but Strasburg upset Lehr-Wishek in the District 10 semi-finals.

I kind of figured it was sarcasm after I responded, but having to had to listen to the Linton recruiting issue for 10 years, it kind of struck a nerve. With that being said, from what I have read on many subjects on this site, it is still not a joke to a lot of people who post.

IIRC there was originally 4.7 seconds on the clock and Carr got it up to 5.2.
