No clue on what system the coaches will use...lots of systems to use to rank IMO.

I don't think they be embarrassed. I think they'd be glad it's them and not Shiloh. Need either a super region format or a 3 class system.
My question is how many times did Fargo Oak Grove, Bishop Ryan & Dickinson Trinity send both boys & girls the same year to state?

Since 1990
Oak Grove is once (1999-2000) - OG GBB has only been to State twice
Bishop Ryan is once (1993-1994)
Dickinson Trinity is multiple times (check each ‘Past Champions’ topics to compare)

Idea #1
Copy what the NCAA tourney is but only have 32 teams make the " State Class B Playoffs".
Have everyone go back to Districts win your district you get an auto bid into the playoffs. just like a Conf Champ in NCAA's. We then take 16 At Large bids based on RPI/ Computer Rankings. Then we seed all 32 teams 1-32 based on the RPI/ computer rankings. Have 4 sites for games Bismarck, Minot. Fargo and Grand Forks host. have 4 games on Friday and 2 games Saturday to determine the state qualifiers. Could even call it regionals just like NCAA's ( North, South, East, West, North East, South East, South West & North East. ) Highest seeds so the 1-8 seed get to pick their site for games Example would be if a 16 seed upsets the 1 in the qualifier the 16 seed continues in that spot for state . The rest of the teams that fall in that group of 4 travel to where ever they highest seed picks. Then when you get the 8 state qualifiers you don't reseed if their is an upset. At state you get 3 games just as you do now. I feel this is a True state playoffs and you will get the best 8 teams dueling it out.
Idea #2
Same as above just everyone does a Super Regional . 8 Auto qualifiers and 24 at large bids

Shiloh who i feel is a legit top 5 team would go yes but no one else in the region would be within 25-30 points of them. to where if we took 32 teams i think it would make for stiff competition. Either way im all in favor of change of some sorts!
