First time in 10 years that North Star doesn't put someone on the team.

That’s a heck of run. What’s the list of players? Starts and ends with a Komrosky right ?

Camrud should be 1st team without a doubt....
should be more R2 in there also...
was a tough tough region this year

Congrats to all. Nice list. Agree with you on Camrud. Prouty could easily be there as well. Very tough job to select and place. Once again, congrats to all players for a great year and good luck in the future.

Pretty sad when the Region 6 Senior Athlete of the Year isn't on the All State Team, Max Henry is very deserving player that's why media shouldn't vote on that the coaches should decide!!

Still would be an imperfect system as not all coaches see all athletes either.

I understand that but it makes no sense when your region senior athlete of the year isn't at least 2nd team all state.

So what you're saying is this makes perfect sense and it isn't a rare circumstance?

ALL REGION 6 team

Arron Grandy-DLB
Leyton Lang- ORCS
Ben Bohl-Ryan
Issac Undlin- MLS
Mason Hedberg- Ryan
Tate Wyman- Westhope
Trent Marquart - Glenburn
Tommy Burke - Berthhold
Landon Foster - Rugby
Trace Govern -Rugby

Couple things stick out here- first- pretty impressive list of really good ball players. Region 6 can really produce. Second, how can Trent Marquart not win senior athlete but still make all-state? Im not saying he doesn't deserve all state, but i would think he would have been senior athlete also. Vice versa could also be said for Max Henry.

In the cases where senior athlete did not get all state, was there another player from that region that did make all-state?

No seniors from region 5 made all-state. People want Camrud(HCV) to be a first teamer when Schuster(M-M) beat him for senior athlete and didn't even make 2nd team.

I'm sure this has happened numerous times over the years. In region 2 Bailey Beneda was SYA last year and wasn't all state. Zoie Breckheimer was all state.

2012 when Sierra Rosenau senior athlete of the year for the state and wasn't all state.

There are going to be politics in every voting procedure you have, if you don't think there are politics in the region awards you are wrong. I think the media did a pretty good job with this list, obviously there are going to be kids who are very good players who end up a vote or two short, that's life. I know personally I've watched between 85 and 90 varsity basketball games this year and I didn't see 5 of the guys on this list play. I would be willing to bet that not one person saw every team in the state play this year.

I can't say that there are any guys I'd say "man this guy should be on the team over this guy". I'm sure there are guys that aren't on this list that could have been on the list, but there are always cut offs.

Most of the state probably isn't aware of a kid who averaged 22+ ppg (not sure on the exact numbers) the last two years, became his schools all time leading scorer (school with pretty good basketball history) with over 1,700 points and probably wasn't close to being voted all state or his regions senior athlete of the year.

I can tell you one thing, I'd love to coach a team made up of the 16 guys on the all-state team!

Pretty balanced and most regions got half of the athletes that were nominated on team...a few regions got more than half

Carrington gets their first 1st teamer ever! What a solid lineup of kids. I think the media did a great job this year. Obviously kids are always left out and it must be a tough job to pick only 5-6 kids on the first team and only 10 kids on the second team.
