Beulah went through regular-season regional play nearly unscathed--10-1--and thus earned the top seed for this week's Region 7 tourney. But the Miners were pushed to the limit in multiple league games and had several close calls. Teams that nearly beat Beulah within the region include Hettinger-Scranton, Heart River, Killdeer, and Bowman County, and Beach did knock off the Miners late in the regular season. So, I think the regional tournament is wide-open this week with no clear-cut favorite or powerhouse. That should make for some ultra-competitive contests and some late-game drama! Another interesting thing to note is that for the first time in maybe 15 or so years, the regional is not being played in Dickinson! Hazen is hosting the tournament this winter; so it will be interesting to see who comes out on top after three intense days of hoops!

Little bit of that and shooting struggles. Dakota Prairie gave us troubles in McVille and Devils Lake. Region 4 semi final night should be fun. All four teams have a solid chance to make the championship
