As we near tournament time, who are the best players out there by region that we should keep an eye on?

I can only speak for who I've seen in Region 1:

Andrew Christianson- Oak Grove
Carter Lingen- Richland
Cole Meyers-Richland
Hunter Smith- Maple Valley
Abel Perry- Tri-State (Big kid who uses his size well)
Luke Foertsch- Wyndmere

Not necessarily in that order

I would add Jamison Kramer- LLM to that list, kid can score from anywhere
and
Garrett Meehl- Oakes, pretty impressive year for a freshman- one to watch for the next few years.

TJ Anderson & Tyrell Rodriguez (OG) should also get consideration in a region list...could also make a case for Christensen (Tri-State).

I'd add Nelson from Carrington, Huber from EKM, Kramer from LLM, Meehl from Oakes and Thorpe and Hofer from Ellendale.
We plan and God laughs.

If you had to set an order, how would it go?

Good question. Close for sure. But from what I have seen: Hegg, Camrud, Schwabe, Schuster and Albrecht. For me, Hegg can take a game over more than anyone in Region 2 when Thompson needs him too.

Best players I’ve seen...
R2- Albrecht, Hegg, Schwabe, Camrud, Henningsgard
R4- Allamaras, Romfo, Mcgillis, Prouty, Peltier, Rivera
R5- Young, Mitzel, Jacobs, Laframboise, archambault, Hodgkiss
R6- Hedberg, Bohl, Vetter, Undlin, Lang, Marquart, Henry, Lee, Haerer, Goven
R7- Ferebee, Kludt, Perkins.... haven’t gotten to watch much here.
R8- Andes, K Hanson, W Hanson, Hetzel, lebeau, Baker, Chase, white, fox
Haven’t got to see everyone so probably missing a couple studs but these are some guys that really impressed me.

I think a lot of this is aimed at the Better "offensive" players....

I think your right.

Also, one player that is being overlooked simply because its a rebuilding year for Parshall, is Billy Moran. I will even go as far as saying he is the best 2-way player in Region 8.

Has he learned what a good shot looks like? Piles of contested and anti-aircraft 30 foot 3's in the state tourney last year -

?? Wow. Give him some credit. He was a sophomore that led his team to state last year and did whatever he could for a small school with a short bench.

No disrespect - haven’t seen him play this year. He forced a lot in the state last year - simply wondering if he’s letting the offense come to him this year. Don’t get bent out of shape.

Comments like that about a great player does bend me out of shape. That's not what this thread is about.

Relax. He's a young kid. How many 16 year olds know what a good shot is in relation to the game clock, shot clock, game situation, score, momentum, etc? What I wish I would have said is, has he grown as a player? Is he improved? Is he letting the offense come to him as opposed to forcing offense? You're taking this as an attack on the kid. Not so.
