Run4Fun:It is updated every day with over 500 games from this year. I wanted to be able to cut and paste into excel and this websites data was by far the easiest to do that from because it did not have any extra data with it. It did not have all the game but I had added the ones for the top ten and RV. Now i am using both ndsportspage and the schedule thread on this site. The biggest problem I have with the schedule thread is the top ten ranking numbers and RV I need team names to be consistant for my SOS and SOV formulas to work. Tried Northdakota-scores.net but could not find an easy way to extract the data.

The following is a cut and paste from this website to show it is being updated regularly.

Scores are being updated...standing are NOT. That was what I was getting at in my post. I went to check the standings page just now....here is what comes up: http://ndsportspage.com/Boys-Basketball ... gs-Class-B

Last update 2/07/17...that's LAST SEASON. So, my point is probably better to use northdakota-scores.net or this site's standings cause those are WAY behind (I wasn't clear on this in my previous post and I should have been...)

Note: Class A at least has been updated this year ;) but a month ago...

Rough night/week for those teams in the polls:

*Stanley gets beat twice.
*Grafton gets beat.
*Shiloh gets beat.
*Bottineau gets beat.
*RV New Town also got beat.

I think we'll see at least a couple new teams "in" next week.

New Town did not lose.
There JV lost to TLM
They do have a game against Shiloh on Saturday though so there still is a chace, either way someone on the polls will be down a game

New town sat 3 starters yes, but they still played 2 starters and the game was part of the varsity schedule so I don’t know how they’re considering it a jv game. If all 5 starters got hurt and couldn’t play that wouldn’t make it a jv game. To me it should still count as a loss on their varsity record. Correct me if I’m way off here

The two starters your referring to one is a freshman the other a junior. New Town sat 5 players all seniors 3 starters and the 6th and 7th guy off the bench. And if it was varsity vs varsity we woundnt be taking about this as i believe New Town would have crushed TLM.
TLM barley got passsed new towns jv with even though new towns jv had 40 plus fouls called on them.

Pretty easy To say now but I guess we will never know. Also didn’t help TLMM’s second leading scorer (avgs 17 and 12) got hurt early in the game which probably had something to do with Jacobs going off. Not saying they would have won if new town was at full strength but I’ve watched TLMM a couple times this year and strongly believe they would not have gotten “crushed”

the polls are interesting and I guess it will help the eventual teams that make it to state because of seating process. I believe they are used even if people deny it because its hard for individuals know about each of the teams that make the state tournament. We have entered the season now where its more about each region in the state and how likely a team is it to reach state. Some regions the depth is much greater and there is more balance of power and other regions there are favorites that if they play their game have very good chance of reaching state. Region 2 has three teams in the top 5 but only one of them can reach the state and even there are couple of teams that seem to be able to compete now that are not even mentioned in the poll. Region 1and 6 looks to be other regions with multiple teams in poll and mentioned in polling process so again we have multiple team region where only one team can reach the State. We have teams from region 1,2,4,5,6, and 8 in this last poll so out the 10 possible rated teams only 6 could possibly make the state tournament. This leaves 2 teams for sure that are not in current poll and even with these teams in current poll several play in competitive regions where they could be beat out by team not in the current poll. It all comes down to most important poll now can these teams win their regions because it doesn't matter if your rated 3 in the state if you can't advance out of your region doesn't matter how you were rated.

Don't think so jack8. New Town isn't crushing TLMM on there best day. That was a scheduled varsity game if they wanna sit players that's there problem. It should go against they're record. Might have been closer with the starters but crushed is pretty bold to say. So yes New Toen lost

Then this game was a varsity game Jack8. Just because your coach decided to sit the 3 starters & the 6th/7th guys off the bench does not mean it was a JV game. Take your loss with a little class.

How does New Town schedule 21 games? Look on NDHSAA website

It was a JV game talk to the AD at new town and turlte lake im sure you can get all your answers from them on why it was a JV game.
The reason why it was a JV game was because they had 21 games scheduled and had to drop 2 games the other was the tioga game.
And last it was new towns C squad that played before there JV that night .

Even if New Town considers it a JV game no player can play on more than 19 dates.

I don't believe that's right, 6 quarters times how many games you play. I don't think it matters what dates.

Yes. There was a normal 4 quarter jv game before the varsity game

Then this game was a varsity game Jack8. Just because your coach decided to sit the 3 starters & the 6th/7th guys off the bench does not mean it was a JV game. Take your loss with a little class.

I really feel TLMM wouldn't play Jacobs if it was a "JV" game, averages over 23 and is considered one of the top juniors in the state (prep hoops dakotas rankings) Might as well say the Standing Rock game was JV too. I get that New Town played jv players but that does not make it a JV game or TLMM wouldn't have scheduled it because they only have 19 games scheduled. To you first sentence, i might just go do that and see what they have to say.
