I think its the opposite. Players used to go to Trinity through grade school and then transfer to DHS if they were good athletes when Trinity was class A and getting stomped. Now that they are class B and competative they stay. Do they have an advantage being in a larger population base? I'd say they do but I wouldn't call it recruiting.
I highly doubt they do any recruiting, their results recruit for themselves. If a family has kids interested in sports and moves into that area, sending them to school there is a pretty attractive option.
