Any insight into region 7? I would assume Dickinson Trinity and Beulah will be strong teams and have heard Hettinger/Scranton will be a contender.

There are a couple of very big games in Region 7 in the next 8 days. Dickinson Trinity plays Hettinger-Scranton tomorrow (January 5th) and Beulah plays Hettinger Scranton on January 12th.

Will they be turning away fans in Scranton tomorrow? I imagine it'll be a packed house.

I'll put it this way: If you'd like a place to sit, better get there early!

Watched Trinity and Hettinger-Scranton last night and a few times this year. Trinity looks like the power in region 7. Nighthawks looked good in Mandan Tourney after a rough start to the year. Trinity has looked tough all year minus the loss to Shiloh. Could be a good battle this year but Hettinger Scranton didn't really have an answer for the bigs of the Titans. Brandon pierce there forward looked tough but needed some help. They have another pierce kid thats 6'7 that looked good in Mandan but didn't see the floor much against the Titans. Will be fun to see a rematch. Looks like a lot of good teams in Class b Basketball this year.

Also watched the HS/Trinity game last night. The game was tied 43-43 with 20 seconds left. It was a really good game and was a defensive battle. I wouldn't say that HS didn't have an answer for the the Trinity big guys. Stoltz and Messer each only had 11 points and Messer traveled about 5 times. The paper says Stoltz had 19 rebounds which in a game like last night he should; he was the tallest and jumped the highest, plus a lot of missed shots. Trinity did do an excellent job of keeping Sadowsky limited. He just wasn't open in the second half. Pierce was strong last night but just couldn't get anything to fall after the second quarter.

The biggest reason HS lost was their free throw shooting. 2-10 in the first half and finished 6-16.
