Actually it was DT shot 63% and 75% from 3 pt, according to the Dickinson Press.

Where was this game played at? DT proved they can put points up. That should be an exciting region tourney.

Four Winds-Minnewaukan traveled to Shiloh on Friday and won 71-55 and then traveled to Dickinson Trinity and lost 82-83.

I still think FW-M is the team to beat in the State...however we've seen many times that a neutral court and the 'big stage' can change favorites.

Could someone who attended these games (FW-M vs. Shiloh and DT) give us some details on the games?

Shiloh came out strong in the first quarter, defensively but FW pulled ahead and lead most of the game, if not all of the game. Down by 19, Shiloh made a run in the fourth quarter and got within 12 points but FW pulled back ahead by 19 before it was over. One of Shiloh's starters received his 4th foul very early in the game and was out for nearly the entire game. Came back in in the second half and instantly hit his 5th. For the most part, I think Shiloh gave a great effort, but FW had it from the go.

Directly from the Dickinson Press

"The Titans overall kicked its shooting game into high gear in the second half and made 62 percent of their shots and finished 53 percent (32 for 61) from the field. Four Winds outrebounded them 30-27, but Trinity picked up 15 points off second chance shots."

"The Indians committed 13 turnovers to Trinity’s five and finished shooting 63 percent from the field and 75 percent from 3-point range."

so the previously stated stats were correct.

FWM shot 60% from field and 63% from 3 pt(12 for 19).

It's funny that this comes up when talking about a DT game: where Reginals are on a neutral court, unless of course you are playing DT. Region 7, the only region where a team can have home court advantage to get to state.

UMMMMMMM, by the time it is all said and done, and if Four Winds runs through their district and their region, they will have played more games on the Sports Center court than the Devils Lake Firebird teams have.

The same would go for the Dakota Prairie, Benson County, and Lakota-Edmore as well as they all played in the Ramsey County, District 7 is played their, and then Region 4. Four Winds is just the odds on favorite.

This pry isn't the right place to post this, but, I think we should say a prayer for what the Ray basketball team and school and community are going thru right now. I was actually thinking about this driving home from the Region 6 games last night. How all the high school kids that went to watch their fellow classmates play ball and then driving home on sub par roads. I hope it doesn't happen again to any school or any family in the next couple weeks. Please drive safe everyone and enjoy some tourney basketball.

That community will definitely be in my prayers. Wishing safe travels to all teams and their fans during tournament season and beyond.
We plan and God laughs.

This has been a conversation over many yrs, but it is the athletic directors who vote on where to play the Region games, so if there is any qualms about it, the AD's dont seem to mind where the games are played, even if the fans do.........Is there a reason the wouldnt want to play at the college or at Dickinson High school??? Anyone??

Trinity's gym is quite a bit bigger than those two.

Since Linton is not in the final 16, are they still a top 5 team, as was stated at least once before in this topic?

Watched Linton play last night and was expecting more out of them with all the hype and everyone picking them to be the favorite out of Region 3- yes they play hard and are well coached but definately not top 5 caliber- IMHO. Purinton is very, very good and that's about it.
