I don't see Oak Grove keeping up with Northern Cass - I say Northern Cass by 15, but we shall see.

OG, IMO can get up and down the floor with anyone. If they are hitting from the outside, they can beat anyone. And I don't think it can be argued that OG has the stronger post presence in this game. 75-69 OG in an upset.

Won't have any lead up to Mondays game and I don't expect the starters to be pressured that much this weekend. I expect M-NS to emerge Monday night 12-0. I think it will be a close game with Central Cass 72-63.

M/NS playing at home with a height and depth advantage should win by 15, I think. Merging two fully rostered teams that both appeared in the R1 tournament last year gives them that edge.

WDAY did a piece on the Milnor/North Sargent merger. The new team has 9 returning starters from last years teams. Deep.

Northern Cass showed up to play...soundly beat Oak Grove 103-85!

Kindred def. Enderlin 81-61
Lisbon def. FCT 71-36
Richland def. Maple Valley 66-51

C-G-B, MN def. Wynd-Lidg 56-44

Sargent Central vs. Central Cass - still waiting

Wow NC must have been on fire. Kindred was stronger than i expected. I expect Enderlin died by the three ball not sure, Lisbon did as I expected I'll assume Riley had a big game. Richland as expected.

I personally think enderlin is overrated! I don't understand why they rely on the outside shot so much when they are a tall team

I am starting to wonder if Enderlin has what it takes. I still believe they have the players to go all the way and beat anyone. But the only way for that to happen is for them to start using their height and play an inside-out game. It's pretty obvious when you start four guys 6'4 or taller with the skills they have you play inside out. Enderlin still hasn't figured that out this late in the season and simply relies on outside shooting. Hopefully Coach Kraft can make that adjustment if not, I don't see Enderlin making it past the second round.

Lots of teams playing really well right now. Enderlin is not one of them.

Enderlin has two tough road games left in the regular season, Hankinson and Milnor/North Sargent. It wouldn't be good to head into a super-regional with three losses in a row.

Wow this is shocking! I thought W-L was coming on. They didn't show it today.

Not 100% official but I did some research:
(10:30) Oakes vs. Kindred
(12:00) Milnor-North Sargent vs. Central Cass
(1:30) Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley, MN vs. Sargent Central
(3:00) Lisbon vs. Maple Valley (?? - Only two left and only time slot left)
(4:30) Rosholt, SD vs. Fairmount/CT
(6:00) Hankinson vs. Northern Cass
(7:30) Wyndmere-Lidgerwood vs. Richland

I belive M-NS has their JV playing Breckenridges JV at 9am at the bonanza also. What a week of basketball that just was and the one coming up looks even better. M-NS gets Enderlin, Northern Cass and Central Cass great way to get battle ready before the Super Regional. Enderlin still has Hankinson left besides MNS which is no easy task. Central Cass gets Lisbon who just upset W-L and presents a match up issue for CC with their lack of inside presence. Northern Cass has Kindred who has upset MNS and Enderlin to go with their Thursday night game with M-NS. If you love class b basketball this should be an amazing week. Good luck to all.

Here is how I'm predicting Region 1 will finish up at weeks end.
1. M/NS (-2) Will finish out the week with wins vs Enderlin and Northern Cass.
2. Central Cass (-3) Will win out vs. Lisbon and W/L. 3 way tie, wins total point tie breaker among 3 teams.
3. Northern Cass (-3) Will beat Kindred and loose to M/NS. Gets 3 seed via head to head vs Hankinson.
4. Hankinson (-3) Will win this week vs Enderlin.
5. Enderlin (-4) Will loose out vs M/NS and Hankinson, which makes only 1 win in last 5 games.
6. Kindred (-5) will fall to N.Cass and beat WL. Head to head gives them the advantage over Richland.
7. Richland (-5) will win out vs Sargent Central and Lisbon.
8. Lisbon (-7) will fall this week to C. Cass and Richland. Head to head gives them a spot over W/L.
9. W/L (-7) will get FCT and fall to C. Cass.
10. M.V. (-8) Will get OG and fall to Kindred. Head to head gives them the nod over OG.
11. O.G. (-8) With only 1 road win on the year, I'm guessing they will fall at M.V.
12. FCT (-11) Victory over Sargent Central keeps them out of cellar.
13. Sargent Central (-12) I don't see them picking up a region win.

Again, these are my predictions, not the way things will necessarily fall during the final week of the season.
I am not certain of the tie breaker in the new region format. I went with plus minus among the 3 teams I had tied for 2nd place. Then, head to head once the top of the 3 was seeded.

Any insight on the Lisbon - Central Cass game? Surprising result. I thought that Lau could cause issues for them but i assume Pithey and Ward must have had good games too.

Hey, I think that I what I was saying before the season started. Northern Cass and Milnor/North Sargent were going to be the top 2 teams in the region. :)
