I thought Beulah got called for a lot of travels that I didn't see, but I wasn't very close to the floor.

I recognized the ref (region 6 official) who called them all. Not surprised by all the phantom travels. He's a bad one about it, as are a few others from the Minot area. That is my biggest pet peeve in basketball is calling a travel when it isn't one. If anything it should be the other way around. The analogy I've heard before is traveling is similar to being convicted of a crime. It must be beyond reasonable doubt to call it.

After 1.5 days, I know one thing for certain, Brad Heidlebaugh is a dude.

Complaining about how teenagers react during free throws is going to get you nowhere fast. It's an emotional situation and you just want to be loud. I've been there. Yes, they do represent a Christian school, but when you're in high school, you don't really realize that to a full point. It's completely expected for fans to be noisy or disruptive during free throw situations, especially in adrenaline pumping games. As a player, you're just taught to ignore it anyways.

I didn't see the game, so I can't comment on the referee assumptions. I did see a Linton lover reffing the third place game. I didn't see much of the game, but I know the guy and from past experiences in life, he never could stop talking about his time in Linton. I figured if there was any bias tonight, that it'd be from him. haha

I'm glad this came out in the tournament. He's been doing it all season, or at least in every game I saw where there was a kid bigger than him.
