Leeds-Minnewaukan opens the season with Parshall in Bismarck the 8th and follows that up with Standing Rock on the 9th.  What a way to start a season than to throw the kids straight into competition!

I believe Trinity and Ray are over rated.  Who does Ray have coming back?

Postby player22 » Thu Oct 26, 2006 5:29 pm

ray only lost matt heier and one otehr senior last year, so besides those two they have everybody coming back but i thought the only good player on ray last year was matt heier so i don't really know who they have coming back that will be a threat to other teams.

Hunter48 do you think dickinson trinity is overated or williston trinity christian? and why do you think they are overated?

i saw that also. tanner freisen is the only kid they have back that played last year and he didn't even start although he got quality minutes off the bench for the skyhawks. tanner is a good ball player and all but he can't make shiloh that great. i'm not trying to take anything away from tanner because he is a good player but shiloh shouldn't be ranked that high i don't think.

i believe that parshall has to play minnewaukan-leeds and then play kindred the next day in bismarck so that should be a good couple of games to watch. even without neil p. they should have a good showing at those games.

thats how he can be overrated as a leading scorer....anyone can lead the state in scoreing when they shoot 25-30 times a game.  if he can score 25 on 18 shots thats not bad but when it takes alot of shots to do it the numbers can be misleading.  does anyone know what his FG and FT % were?

wow, whether he was scoring against bad teams or not there are bad teams everywhere in the state, what kept anyone else from scoring that many points?

Maybe he's not the best player in the state according to some, but at least he belongs on a list of "ones to watch".

i think there is some debate as to whether sizer led the state in scoring...supposively the kid from hettinger (can't remember his name off hand) led the state in scoring too.

me too.....sure sizer had them games where he scored 44 and 38 or so but he also had games where he scored 12.  Smith didnt score less that 19 from what i saw and the 1 time he did is when he sprained his ankle n didnt finish the first half.

If I remember right, Sizer was basically a one man team. Of course he isnt going to get a lot of points against good teams, he was the only one they had to stop. Im pretty sure that almost every team that played against them keyed on him and him only and he still got his points.
