Ashley and PBK are in the same region. The only chance they have of playing each other is in the Region championship game.

Bowman and Trinity are in the same region.  Bowman beat Trinity early in the year in a holiday tournament and they play each other the last game of the regular season.

Trinity/Bowman by far will be the best Regional matchup in the state. Bowman undefeated and Trinitys only loss is to them by 3. I looked and Trinity has beaten every team they've played by 10 or more except for Bowman. Did I see that right?

I think that is correct.  That is a tough region all around.  There are several teams in region 7 that will probably lose out to Bowman or Trinity that would be considered favorites in other regions.  Bowman has beaten Trinity the last three years in the regular season, but Trinity always wins in the regional tourny.  It is played at Dickinson Trinity and it is tough to beat a team on their home floor with the state tourny on the line.

MPCG plays in Grand Forks this weekend agaisnt a team from MN that averages 85 points a game, should be interesting.  I doubt win or lose it will have any affect on the standings, but it should be fun to watch.  I dont think MPCG averages over 50 points per game but I would love to see how they do with a team that will try to run on them.  Check the paper on Sunday and see how they fair.

Mayville plays Clearbrook-Gonvick at the grand forks lions shootout. They have scored 100pts in 3 games this year should be a good test for Mayville. Win or Lose it shouldnt hurt Mayville at all ranking wise. But state rankings mean nothing its what you do when it comes tournament time.

A few other good teams will be there too... Four Winds, and North Border are two teams I remember seeing listed for the shootout. (Both are in the poll i think, at least honorable mention)

Maybe someone could list a schedule for these games... i know there is also a 3-point shootout and a dunk contest sometime during the day too.

Clearbrook-Gonvick's schedule doesn't look that impressive so I'd think MPCG should win easily.

Mayville could win that game but I really dont think it will be an easy game to win. There schedule might not be impressive. But to score 85 pts a game you still have to shoot the ball ball well. Will be interesting to see though because Mayville is more of a defensive orientated team so should be interesting.

MPCG is the only team to have beaten Stephen-Argyle(MN) this year I believe.  I think they won 51-33.

Is there a new class B poll?  Should be interesting to see what Mayville's loss does to the poll.  I do however think people place to much emphasis on records when polling?  What makes PBK or Four Winds better than Trinity because Trinity has 1 loss to the team that should be the new #1.  If I recall Trinity only lost by 3 against Bowman.  In my opinion that makes Trinity#2 or 3.  What should it matter if the other 3 teams are undefeated.  More concideration needs to be made on schedule and who the losses come against.  Some teams have 2 of the top 10 in the same district and more in the region so why should they be penalized in the polls for a loss or 2??

How can you penalize a Four Winds or PBK for being undefeated? Maybe they could stay that close with Bowman or even beat them. We just don't know and hopefully state tournament time we will find out how close those rankings are.

I am not penalizing anyone for being undefeated.  I know you have to be a good team to stay undefeated for an entire season.  I am also not saying that PBK or Four Winds aren't deserving of being towards the top.  What I was merely trying to say was that records are just that records and don't give a full story.  Sorry if anyone was offended by my earlier post I wasn't trying to take anything away from those 2 schools.

Has anyone seen Ashley play and are they coop with Wishek in basketball?  What Region and district are they in?

Ashley isn't a bad team however they have a lack of depth working against them.  Big floor and a few fouls and the lack of a bench will come back to haunt them. Waiting to see them match up with PBK in Jamestown.  They did not play each other during the season.

Ashley does not co-op with Wishek.  They have their own team.  Ashley is in Region 3 and I believe district 6

I totally agree with you on Ashley.  Saw them play a couple of times.  I don't think they can match up with PBK.  Saw PBK play a few times.  Didn't look to good the first few games.  Since the first of the year they have really come on.  Very very good defense.  That  pressure has taken them to some very big scoring wins.  Lamoure's only two losses to PBK.  They held them to under 35 points in both games.  They have size, quickness, balanced scoring and a pretty decent bench.(3 deep)  They are pbobably one the most physical teams I've seen play in a long time.  I think they could be an unknown that could very easily come in and win state.  Saw 4 Winds play a couple of times.  They will probably win their Region (very weak) and thats about all.  They have a couple of good guards but no inside game and no size.  A big team will eat them up.
