Crockett didn't have a bad shooting night--he hardly got any shots off at all.

I’ve seen Max Kobbervig play many times, he is one of the smartest basketball players around at the high school level. Great on both ends of the court. He could score a ton, but he’s the consummate PG who gets everyone else involved which makes the team better. In my opinion, he’s definitely a top 5 player in the Region and he’s the main reason for CC’s success.

There is not a single team that stops Jase straight up.

Crockett played about 29 minutes last nite, and was the sole responsibility of Kobbervig. Kobbervig may have gotten some "help side" defense, as Crockett benefitted from various screens.

Both Very good players and very fun to watch. Crockett is not unstoppable on offense. Don't get me wrong, he is probably the top guard in the region. Kobbervig can get under kids skin on defense and throw them off..... But I am sure it is team defense wins games.

Next Friday to end the season is Kindred at Enderlin.... Place your bets....
If Enderlin keeps it inside... I say Enderlin by 10. If Enderlin does not stay in and dominate the paint ( and Kindred is fully healthy, Which is looking like they might be) Then Kindred by 12.

If Kindred pressures Enderlin full court. I’d say kindred wins by 10-15 pts. They have the length n quickness to control the game.

Kindred loses to Oakes today. Believe Oakes had the lead from the get go... Keller got injured with @ 2 minutes left...hope its not to bad.
Oakes played great D... hit the boards hard. Excellent ball movement, not much dribbling, smart passes.

Should be interesting to see how Enderlin plays Kindred and vise versa.

Kindreds week spot is physical play. If the opposing team is strong/ physical and the Ref's let that style of game be played... that Kindred will get beat. They lost two players for the game and a third might be out as well. The style in play in Region 3 is very physical.

I heard the big guy for Kindred got hurt during the last game. Anyone have an update on his injury? Hopefully not serious and he is able to play at full strength heading into Regions.

yep he is hurt and will not play tonight. Knee. Maybe one other kid as well with some limited minutes tonight. Oaks/Lisbon/ EKM beat them up this year. It looks like all will be back for the regions right now.
Kindred still has enough kids to compete but win might be another story.

Hopefully not to severe and he will be back for Regions. Kindred is solid and has a lot of depth but he is a big piece of their success and where they want to go. Fun team to watch. They play the game the right way!

Enderlin wins 56-54

Was a good game and I was impressed with how Kindred played with kids missing. Could of been a different ending if 22 didn't miss the last couple minutes with what appeared to be cramps. I see Enderlin forgot how to go inside again and why would you want to when Kindred's big man is out for the night. Guess I'm old school and will NEVER understand. Should be an interesting Region 1 Tourney if Kindred runs 4 kids off the bench and Enderlin only goes 1 or 2 deep. If Enderlin makes the Championship they might be showing more fatigue from all the games and longer court. Never know we might see a different ending, could be Oak Grove vs CC or Oak Grove vs Kindred. I'm sure something unexpected will happen at some point.

I'll assume Your Live Event has all of Region 1 and 2. BEK probably has all of 3 and 8.

#8 Sargent County vs. #1 Enderlin

#5 Northern Cass vs. #4 Oak Grove

#10 Hankinson vs. #2 Kindred

#6 Lisbon vs. #3 Central Cass

I my prediction is Enderlin beats Oak Grove and Kindred beats Lisbon in the semi finals. Enderlin takes home the region crown winning by 4.

I haven't seen Lisbon play this year, but are they a bad match-up for Central Cass? I have read on here that they are a pretty physical team but that's about all I know.

Lisbon is a tough physical team that could be a sneaky pick this year. With W/L getting upset, Lisbon could be this years TriState. Here is make prediction:
Enderlin over Sargent County (good young players on SC)
Oak Grove too much for Northern Cass - close game
Kindred beats Hankinson easily
Lisbon upsets Central Cass in a thriller!

Semi Finals
Oak Grove upsets Enderlin
Kindred beats Lisbon

Final
Kindred too much for Oak Grove and takes Region 1 Crown!

Do teams have Enderlin figured out? It seems like the scores in their games are so much different than when their common opponents play each other. Does it all come down to their non-post game with all that height? I did hear for a minute it looked like they were going to get the ball inside after they beat Central Cass by 18, but now it's back to jump shot basketball? If they don't get to state this year or next it would be an all-time missed opportunity by a program that isn't going to be a perennial contender.

Even if they're not expecting the bigs to be a Kevin McHale, back-to-the-basket specialist, put one of them down there and draw the defense. It would at least to open it open for the rest of the team. And my god, if you can teach them how to shoot a jump hook from their chin, it's game over for most of their opposition. I'll let it at that because everyone on this board thinks the same thing about their confusing style of play.

I respect everyone's predictions, but I have a tough time seeing Lisbon upset Central Cass. Yes, Lisbon is a very physical team and they are one of the better defensive teams in R1, but Central Cass has much stronger guard play and that will prove evident in this contest. CC 65-45.
