Best Sophmores!

Who are the top sophmores?

Two of the top have to be Herauf from Dickinson and Golus from Belcourt.

Megan Rhoerich and Ally Fisher deserve mention from Fargo South.

Golus from Belcourt is averaging 20 and 10 and was all-wda last year a freshman. Has to be in the elite of the sophmore class.

Roehrich for South (toss up between her and Burck being the best player on the best team) and Halland from WF are the top two from the east. Farroh is good. Hammer has been hurt. Mertens isn't anywhere near where she was last year. Golus is also in the elite category with Roerich and Halland.

Sasha Golus is one of the top players for being a sophmore! she knows how to bring it and never backs down. The rest of the girls aint got nothing on her!

All players mentioned are great players. You really find out who is elite when players match up against each other. I have not seen very many western games but with that said roehrich from fargo south imo is one of the best if not the best.

Heruaf has got a great jump shot and has been starting for Dickinson since Freshman year. Definetly one of the top.

Golus has been dominating the stats but lost to Dickinson. Didn't see the game though. Any insights?

That is a pretty bold statement, considering she has between 30 to 40 more shot attempts in 11 games than the next highest shot attempt girl in the state. I am sure she is a good player, but it seems the whole offense is ran around 1 person. I am positive that there is some other sophmores in the state that can play with her.

Golus is a strong athletic girl. I think you need to see her play. Her shot percentage is still 47.5% so she should take as many shots as she can.

I simply just went to each team's home page on the WDA Website and clicked on their stats.

I don't see anything negative about shooting the ball. Golus has a high percentage of shots made and is averaging over 20 points a game. You can't score if you don't shoot the ball.

Good players make everyone else better. Their team which wasn't expected to do much is doing well and their young. This team will be one of the teams to beat next year.

While Golus is very good, I would like to see Farroh of Central play. Averaging 13 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 blocks, while shooting 54% is very impressive. Also of note, she is scoring about 20% of her teams points.

With Hammer out, Farroh has really picked up a lot of the slack for Central. Her scoring average should go up because of it.

All these other girls may be good, but when they come play Fargo South they all get shut down. This Fargo South team is the best girls team in the state in a long time. Theres no way Mrs Bball can go to anyone outside of Fargo South.

Mrs. Basketball isn't an award.

If you are talking about Miss Basketball for next year, I agree, Burck is the best junior.
I think Farroh or Golus is the best sophomore.

As for seniors, Miss Basketball will go to someone in the WDA or from Class B. Guaranteed.

#12...South's leading scorer right now...Didn't start the first three games of the season because she was struggling with a leg injury.
