Miss Basketball 2014

Postby balla45 » Sat Dec 14, 2013 1:16 am

Just some people I think may contend.

Lachelle Bumgarner - Wahpeton
Keisha Engelhardt - Bismarck
Macy Lynch - Bismarck Century
Paige Peterson - Jamestown
Katelyn Olson - Fargo Davies
Cassidy Thorson - West Fargo
Madison Walford - Devil's Lake

Any others?

There isn't a returning all-stater on this list. Is there a Class B player with a stronger resume?

Really not sure. This is a weird year where the best player in Class A is a sophomore and the three best in Class B are juniors.

I agree with you! Class A has very few true point guards, and really no post players. Class B also has a strong sophomore in addition to the top juniors.

Yeah. I think Jacobson, Freije, Stewart, Bohl, Irwin, Nudell, Jossart, Moton, Two Bears, Burtness, and Askvig are all legit D1 potential, but they are all juniors or younger.

Jacobson has had a 35.
Nudell a 35.
Moton a 29.
Irwin a 26.
Askvig a 24.

All great picks for Ms. Basketball- I feel Anika Rovig out of Bishop Ryan should be in consideration. She has been a vital player for whos team has won 51 games in a row. She does everything for Ryan, rebound, score and assist the twin towers inside.

I could see Rovig being a candidate and Wilkinson from Shiloh.

Duttenhefer has had multiple good games, especially coming off of her injuries.

I would say Weber (Thompson), Dooley (Central Cass), Farstveet (Beach), and Henningsgard (HCV) as the top candidates from Class B.

Sorry...I had the wrong name for the Thompson player. It's Galegher.

Galegher (Thompson)
Dooley (Central Cass)
Engelhardt (Bismarck)
Peterson (Jamestown)
Thorson (West Fargo)
