Valley City is off to a good 5-0 start. Can anyone tell me who they have played this season?

Dec 8 Wahpeton 83-78 2ot
Dec 17 Maple Valley 63-53 ot
Dec 18 Fargo Davies 65-56
Dec 20 Lisbon 52-37
Dec 28 Jamestown 60-58

Good wins vs Jamestown and Wahpeton, beating Davies at Davies is also a good win even thought Davies has not won a game yet this year. We will see how good they are when they play WF, RR and Shanley

Valley has the best record in the state. They have beat the preseason #5(Davies) team on the road and also defeated at the time the #4(Jamestown) ranked team. Yet VC is still not ranked and Jamestown still in the latest ranking. In my opinion VC should be ranked in the 5th spot instead of Jamestown..... I think the pollsters think that VC will falter(which could be true), but based on current games played they deserve to be ranked.

I agree, by going 5 - 0 Valley City should be ranked. What hurts them is they play 5 Class B teams and play 6 teams in the EDC only once for 2pt games. If Valley is going to be taken seriously they need to start playing all the teams in the EDC twice and not play Class B teams.

They don't need to be ranked, but agree that the Jamestown game (even though they are in the WDA) is a good win. To be taken seriously, they need to have a good season, and finish strong in the EDC. They worked very hard to convince the state that they should be Class B, and many people still agree.

Devils Lake 67 - Valley City 66

I heard they are dropping out of the Barnes County Tournament (Class B Tourney in VC) so they can play more EDC Teams.

That would be a good decision for them, but they should try to put a sophomore or JV team in their spot. It's a good tournament, and could give the younger players good experience.
