I'm forbidden from commenting on this game, but, I will just say, you had to be there.

I'll put it this way. A player from our team yelled 3 seconds on a random possession, and it was called. This happened numerous times.

I should say our program. One of the boys from Mandan randomly yelled three seconds, and the referee proceeded to call it. Gotta give the refs some credit though. With only two of them, it is hard to see everything.

I think somebody posted it but I can't find it. What is the word about South's Haring and college? Basketball? I heard a rumor she might be interested in Jametown College.

Throw Haring from South in there and I'll agree with these.

Thats the order I like. Maybe put Knife behind Grann. I'd like to see her play again than decide.

As the season progresses.
1. Collins (alot of games over 20 points lately, not much to play with and is putting up really good stats.)
2. Dale (close in points to Collins, didn't played alot of top teams yet except Mandan, easy to avg lots of points. She has Ramlo that I think is just as good as Dale just not utilized.)
3. Knife (playing with a lot of really good players, very athletic)
4. Feeney (not very athletic, seems kind of ackward on the court)
?. Haring (There are others on her team, that I think are better. Tough to be Miss B if your not the best on your team but still should be a contendor because they are the top team.)
?. Grann ( Didn't she play with the ECI team???? I haven't seen her play. What is her stats?)

I think it should be either Collins or Knife. Both are great players from State Championship teams. If I had to pick one - Collins.

What if Haring, Dale, or Feeney wins one this year?

Collins has already won state 3 times and Shanna won it once. Last year Miss Basketball didn't have a state title even though I thought one on one, Alex would be the best player. If you go by winning state, then if Century wins do you give Miss B to Sorenson? I think it should go to a player who dominates.

Dale is not shooting a very good percentage. She is averaging a lot of points but shooting only 31% and hasn't played Century or BHS. Also had Ramlo, another all-stater on her team.

Feeney, I wasn't impressed with her play. She doesn't dominate the game like her sister did. I was more impressed with Buechler on BHS.

Shanna hasn't put up very big numbers. They haven't played against any really tough teams. She has a lot of really good players surrounding her.

Haring isn't a dominating player. She's good and on a top team. But winning state would not be because she dominated.

Collins is my top because she has had a triple double, she has had alot of 20 - 25 point games lately on the news, she has 80 steals (avg over 7 a game) and I think a recent article said she leads her team in scoring, rebounding, steals and assist. That to me is a player who dominates.

Grann, I don't know anything about. Who does she play for?

I think Haring's chances may be hurt by the fact that she's 5th on her team in scoring. It may be that her team is very well balanced and stats may not reflect how good of a player she is but 5th on her team is kind of low.

I thought it may be because of blowouts but according to the stats online Haring is avg. 30 min/gm, Dale 28 min/gm, Feeney 25.5 and Collins 25.5 min/gm. So she's not playing any less than the others.

Haring - 5th on her team in scoring???? Then she shouldn't be a candidate. Katie Lee has more points and almost the same amount of boards. Any seniors in the east that are dominating???

I wouldn't go as far as saying she shouldn't be a candidate. She is leading in rebounds, steals and assists. But it does make me ask, How important is the scoring Stat? Does it carry more weight than some of the others?

I don't think so but the player should be top on her team. Katie Lee has more points and almost the same rebounds, so which one is better and is either one a top player in the state. There may be other seniors in the east, whose team might not be as good but they are better players.

I'm to the point that I would like to have the stats for the Class A not posted until after the season. That would make it fairer for the girls from Class B since their stats are not public at this time.

I'll use a couple of examples that Eminence used and put a different slant on the stats and what can be said:

Collins - a lot of games over 20 ppg, about 7 steals a game, about 6 turnovers a game (net +1 of a steal turnover ratio)

Dale - Poor shooting percentage, however shooting roughly 10 freethrows a game. That could mean probably 40-50 shots fouled in the act of shooting. If she wasn't fouled and made 1/2 of these shots, she could probably be close to 50% shooting.

Knife - Good player, but we can only guess at this time on her stats, which is not fair to her if the other girls are public.

Feeney - Was hurt, now getting up to speed. Playing the role that is required for her team. Eminence was not impressed after seeing 1, 2, or 3 games of Feeney this year. Missed the other 4 or 5 games that she probably was great.

Haring - Probably a great defensive player (probably guards the best player on the other team), is a leader, and plays the role that is required for her team. Her way of contributing points probably is preventing the opposing player from getting their 12-15 ppg.

The truth is, all these girls are good and any coach in the state would be happy to have them on their team.

We as visiting fans can not make accurate statements about these girls (that are not local) and what they mean to their team if all we see them is 1-3 times a year and only know what we read.

Get rid of the stats postings during the season (put the availability of the stats of Class A and B on the same playing field during the season) and post them after the season. Since scoring, steals, & rebounding appears to be all some people look at, they can read that in the local paper.
