I certainly don't follow Class A all that closely, but I would think for Jamestown to lose Walters along with 3 or so other senior who saw a lot of PT, expecting them to still be on top next year might be a stretch.

Jamestown is losing their 2nd and 3rd best players. But they probably had the best JV team in the state. We'll see if Skunberg can handle the extra work load with the absence of walters and kallenbach. Unless someone steps up.

As for Minot, they return 4 starters, and every major contributor on the bench. I expect Minot to have a better season than the disappointing one they had last year.

I expect next season to be more competitive than this one. Unless an EDC school pulls away.

Looking at the WDA, I have a really hard time predicting how things will shake out next year. In 2018-2019, the margins between teams 2-6 and 7-11 were razor-thin. Teams like Williston and Watford City that had rough starts to the season ended strong which makes next year really blurry to me. With that said, here goes my predictions:

9. Turtle Mountain
10. Watford City
11. Williston

I think with the season about to get under way I would place the WDA as follows.

1. Jamestown
2. Mandan
3. Minot
4. Bismarck
5. Century
6. Legacy
7. Turtle Mountain
8. Williston
9. St. Mary's
10. Dickinson
11. Watford City

I think it will be a tough WDA tournament with either Bismarck Century Minot and Legacy battling for the 3rd and 4th spots with any team winning on any given night. As for right now I'd give Minot the third spot since they do have four starters back from last year and Bismarck the fourth since they have a very talented Junior class that will contribute big. They did win the WDA tournament both as Freshmen and Sophomores. Turtle Mountain will also be a surprise and could be a factor. Williston will have some size.
