I've seen Feeney, Eikens, Mertens and Moody. IMHO they are the best players in the state.
Kyjuan Johnson could be 2nd team. He definitely has the talent. He ranks in the top 10 in most offensive categories (pts.ast.fg% 3pt% ft%) plus steals on defense. Being that well rounded has to count for something. He's also a pass first kind a player. If he was the star player, he would average near 20 a game.

Anyone else?

Love Kyjuan's game. Am thinking no school will get 2 and Lund is more likely being a senior and having a double double average.

Also agree with you on the top 4. Should be unanimous with those 4.

balla45, I like your list with the exception of Sem. Granted, I have only seen him play 3 times this year, but from what I've seen I would put him in your list of "outside looking in", at best. He is only shoot 43% from the field and 62% from the line.

Roberts is having a great year for Minot, as is Thomas from Bismarck.

I do not disagree with you a lot. The 5th 1st Team spot is a challenge. I would not be shocked to see that be Wanzek. I do struggle to think the media will go with 4 WDA players on the 1st Team. As I continue to watch basketball games, I think it would be tough to argue that Trae Steckler of Mandan should be left off. Will be a fun finish to the season.

A different way to look at Siman Sem's shooting statistics. He is shooting 47.3% from within the arch, 37.3% outside the arch, and 62.2% from the free throw line. I think the first 2 numbers are very solid for a high school basketball player, and I do not think a player should be taken out of consideration for being an average to below average free throw shooter.

I am able to watch EDC teams more often the WDA. I agree that, right or wrong, the EDC will likely get a second first team player on the list. I just don't think Sem would be the correct pick. I think it should come down to one of two players. Braden Hanson whom you listed as second team. He is a comparable shooter to Sem. 50.5% from 2, 32% from 3, 73% from the line. He also plays better defense and makes better decisions. The other player that you didn't mention is Jake Paper. He is shooting 69.2% from 2, 35.5% from 3, and 69.7% from the line. Jake is very efficient on the offensive end. He is averaging 1.58 points per shot attempt compared to Sem's 1.27pps, Hanson's 1.32pps, and Veit's 1.13pps. Paper has made 18 few shots then Sem, but Sem has attempted 133 more shots.
