I recently got a chance to play the Wii and its a lot more entertaining than it might look. Wii sports comes with the console and even has a fitness program in it. After an hour of bowling I was sweating more than i do when i bowl in real life.  It's definantly a workout.

So next time your mom tells you to go outside and do something, tell her you're getting plenty of exercise at home playing with your Wii. :P

the Wii has got to be the stupidest thing i've ever seen. The Wii is worthless and for nerds who are not good at any sports, so they think they are good by just wiggling their hands a bit.

Whoa. The Wii is much much more than "wiggling your hands a bit" you've obviously never played one.
What is your basis for the Wii being worthless?
Furthermore, with development of this type of technology the line between gaming and sports will become a very thin one.

May i ask why you play any sports games at all if they are only for "nerds" who wish they were good at real sports?

Sports games are a completely different experience from their real-life counterparts.

yes i've played a Wii before. When playing tennis or baseball, all you have to do is move your hand without even moving your arm and you can play, whoo whoo big deal. The Wii should stay overseas where it belongs. The PS3 was made overseas but it deserves to be here, the Wii shouldn't even be on the market. Pure stupidity.

This is ludacris. You're saying that your opinion is right with absolutly no facts to back it up. How does the PS3 deserve any more credit than the innovative Wii?
I must remind you that Wii Sports is a launch title that focuses on a wide variety of sports. Its main purpose is to display the Wii's versatility. Future games which will be more specialized in certain areas will be completely different and alot more interactive.

Wii Boxing now that is one heck of a workout

a Wii can be very fun if you get into it and want to have fun with it and not think that it is stupid..... i personally think that bowling and tennis are very fun on it

I agree as well, however, this thread is about the Wii changing the view between gaming and sports. It's not about which is the best console. :D

ohhh-ho man the Wii is siiiiiiiiiiick.  i just gripped wii play today and its alright, the only reason its decent is the complimentary remote that comes with it.  the games arent that great with one player and its basically all training shizz...i give it an 81 out of 100

i give it a 6.5 out of 100

wow couldnt have said it better myself, the wii is insanely sweeet,  the only thing bad about the wii is that the stores never have one...

i easily give the wii a 94.9 out of 100
