Favorites for each Region

Who does everyone think is the favorite for the 3 regions?

I thought I saw in the paper that Bishop Ryan is the reigning Region 3 champ, but they graduated their whole infield. They do return one of the better pitchers and hitters in the state in Katie Backes though.

My region 3 pick would be Minot High or Bismarck.

Is West Fargo back to their stage of dominance that they were at when they won what was it like 11 straight titles?

Bismarck looked very strong this weekend in the East-West Crossover beating West Fargo, South, and North. They have a couple new pitchers, and Peterson at shortstop which will make them extremely competitive this year.

Yes it is May 7th and 8th. I know there are a few ND teams in there. Bishop Ryan is for sure, I don't remember if any others were.

Bismarck just swept Minot (at Minot) last night. I believe they are undefeated this season including a win over West Fargo.

Yeah, I think they should be the favorite for their region. They and Bishop Ryan will the top 2 IMO. Minot high should be not too far behind in third.

Actually, my guess is that it will be a battle between Bismarck and Dickinson. All the teams in Region 3 have ok pitching, but I think Bismarck and Dickinson stand out offensively.

I know Ryan beat Dickinson in both games when they went down there. I heard it was something like 13 to 15 and 11 to 13. I don't know the exact numbers but I know they were both in the low to mid teens. Not sure how Bismarck and Dickinson matched up if they have yet.

They split with Dickinson, but I don't think they have played Ryan yet. Bismarck didn't play very well against Dickinson, but I think most of the players were more concerned about prom...lol.

I agree! I do appreciate any input you guys have on fastpitch tho. With the uncooperative weather, it has been hard to follow the teams since there have been so many games that have been rescheduled.

I don't know where the Minot Ryan varsity played for sure, but the tournament in Valley City had Class A jv teams participating.
