I don't follow this very closely, but it feels like CC is a big favorite.

After I posted this I went and looked to see CC had a loss to Kindred, now they lost in the region tournament to the Hankinson super coop.

NE region looks to be between Thompson and MPCG. LEM has improved a ton since the beginning of the season.

After watching two MPCG/Thompson games yesterday Thompson doesn't seem to be in the same class as MPCG. It is hard to see how Thompson kept the regular season games vs them so close.

I'll guess CC will be the favorite going to state, but more vulnerable than I originally thought.

It would make sense that Central Cass is the favorite, but I don't think it's clear cut at all. MPCG, Thompson, and Kindred could definitely knock them off. All 4 are solid teams. I think those should be the top 4 seeds in some order and all will win their first round games.

Tioga has given up 99 runs in their last four games. They have won three of them.

Anyone have a box score of the 39-30 game? That must have been brutal to watch.

another ho-hum state tournament game win for CC. They have been vulnerable this season at times.

Impressed with the showings from Beulah & Renville County...the west is slowly catching up to the east (southeast especially).

A completely different pitcher showed up for RC today. She's near impossible to hit if she's throwing strikes. One walk today. Ten walks and two hit batters yesterday. Yesterday MPCG left the bases loaded in the 1st, 3rd, and 5th innings. Left runners on 2nd and 3rd in the 2nd and 4th innings.

has any other high school player (besides Nelson) hit the center field scoreboard at Thoraldson? Those were two homers she'll never forget (the 7th inning game-winner being the other).

And Richter really stepped up at pitching. If I remember correctly, there have been years when CC used 3 different starters in the state tourney. Nelson pitched a bit in this post season, but other than that, it was all on Richter's shoulders.
