Should be an exciting second round with West Fargo playing Valley City and Shanley playing North.

KRJB Radio was reporting that Hillsboro will be the 4 seed in the state tournament, so that would have to mean Hankinson won their state qualifier...pretty sure at least.

Flip, that is correct. Enderlin Maple-Valley 1, Central Cass 2, Hankinson 3, Hillsboro-Central Valley 4. Enderlin looks tough to beat

Shanley vs North should be a good game.If WF continues to play with the same tenacious manner as they did last night against Davies, It could be over for this year for the rest of the state.Would like to see a rematch with Century or a matchup with Ryan.

I think Shanley, Valley City, Fargo North #2, and West Fargo #1 will come out of the EDC.

Minot Ryan looked tough at the WDA as they won the title over Century. They were focused and agressive on both sides of the game.

Congrats to West Fargo Softball. This was a classic fastpitch softball game. The pitcher for Ryan did a good job getting out of jams most of the night. She gave up ten hits but kept the WF batters off balance. West Fargo softball still continues to be the CLASS of the state. They are always "game" ready and the coaching staff is the best in the state. I am looking forward to future battles between Ryan and WF.

I can't believe how far Minot Ryan has come! They had a premier freshman pitcher who gave up quite a few hits and it still came down 1 run in the 8th inning! It was a classic championship game.

I agree she did pretty good but you have to give even more credit to the sophomore from West fargo. She had 14 k's and pitched the shutout.

I agree...the pitching battle went to the sophomore. I was just impressed w/ Ryan's ability to back up their pitcher. She allowed quite a few hits against a premier team, and it still came down to the bottom of the 8th.

I feel as true high school softball fans we all got what we paid (and hoped )for, A true knock drag out state championship game.Be honest,WF was game a way from steamrolling their way through the post season. What they give up on the post season 1 run and and handful of hits? They have a top shelf program and the rest of the state is trying to close the gap,But have a ways to go yet.Minot Ryan has a great program and appears its gonna stay that way for awhile. The Championship game was a great way to end the season. That game should start fueling the fires of all the other teams to start preparing for next March and the 2013 season. With all the media coverage the State Tourney got it only helped promote the sport .Also the Class B title game was a great way to end the the very first Class B tourney and hopefully create some new teams for next year.
