Williston and GFC are going to be really tough...Williston doesn't lose anyone and GFC loses one senior but he was never in their top 5! Bismarck will still be tough too

What are you thinking the Demons will be ranked number one again.... 2 freshman, 2 sophomores and 1 junior in the top 18... think about it... it doesn't take much to figure it out.

Yeah quite possible but if GF Central wasn't hit with the flu bug over the last couple of weeks they would have had 3 or 4 all-state runners...I'm not saying that they would have beaten Bismarck (just not possible this year)...but with how much GF Central tends to improve over the off-season...they will be tough!!

GFC will put their top 4 under 17 next year, and maybe even 5. I don't care how many people Bismarck brings back, that's still tough to beat.

In my opinion, I don't think it will even be a race. After taking out the seniors their top 5 will come back ranked 1st, 3rd, 5th, 10th, and 14th. And Lane Kashur, the one coming back ranked 14th, beat all 4 of the guys ahead of him on a consistent basis throughout this year before getting sick and running a fever of 103 degrees the day before the meet!
Grand Forks Central will be good, but I think Bismarck will have just a little too much firepower for them.

GFC's number 5 runner is very VERY short, and he might hit a growth spurt over the next year, and that could improve his time dramatically.

1.)Bismarck with a score less than 45
2.)GFC near 90 points
3.) Williston with about 115

I fail to see how Red River can be ranked in the top ANYTHING, if they won't even put 5 kids under 18:00.
Also, where in Nathan Donnelly from Williston on any of your lists?
Thirdly, when putting predictions, you cannot only look at the state results, because keep in mind that the whole EDC, along with Lane Kashur from Bismarck were sick.

rest assured that red river will throw at least 5 under 18, they have more than just mendee.

To use state results from last year, their 4 and 5 runners were around 18:15, and one of them is a senior. That leaves their new 5 runner as a kid who ran an 18:45 at VC, and state is at Jamestown. It will be close, if anything.

But to have Red River ahead of Shanley-OG...that won't happen. Shanley-OG will have two seniors under 17 by the season's end. They will also have a freshman and a sophomore that should be in the low 17s by season's end. They run as a team so that #5 runner will be right behind the #3 and #4. I wouldn't be surprised if Shanley-OG could have 7 or 8 guys running in the 17-minute area throughout the year.

Bismarck is the state favorite until someone can step up and beat them...and I just don't see it happening this year. The distance between Bismarck and GF Central will be closer but not close enough. Williston will also be right there making it a three team race (really a two team race for second). Shanley-OG will be the #4 team and then #5 could be Red River, Fargo North or Bismarck Century (too hard to tell right now...I would give Fargo North the nod though...some good young talent).

I expect them to do better because of a change in coaching staff mostly

Bismarck is still going to crush GFC next year. Bismarck's top 5 scored 21 points. Their 6-10 runners would have scored 68 points and would have beaten century too. so technically BHS got 1st and 2nd at state. Good luck to the rest of the state on that one.
