That's a tough thing to do, because there are so many teams that are close together at the top. Bismarck, Bismarck Century, GFC, and West Fargo will all be in the hunt for the state title.

because they have to show that they can all run well when it matters most...it kind of depends on Mendee and how high up he can be in the EDC!

i can understand that, they don't all seem to run well in the peak time. not just mendee, remember that alex bakken is also a great competitor and at edc he was right with mendee. i would say theyll do great depending on their 3-5. now CENTRAL looks to be a very promising team.

That's fine...I'll enter in my top 30 sometime tomorrow...still doing some research and placings right now! I'll have boys first than at the end of the week I will have the girls!

I agree with Walking Stick's original rankings, with one exception. Fargo South could be higher or lower depending on which Laura Roesler shows up this season, and that is a tough one to predict. She took first place and crushed everyone, then went to the olympic trials. She came back and didn't do to well in the cross country season. I think she took something like 51st place at state.

The cross country team isnt all Roesler though. Lachowitzer and Valenti and two VERY talented runners.

We will see the typical Roesler this year...but Baller you are right...especially with Lachowitzer who is better at the longer distances! South's girls have Lachowitzer, Roesler and Valenti that have the capability to be all in the top 10 in the state!

My rankings are with Roesler in the top 5 of the state...so if she falters like last year (not likely though) then they could only go down...but not far!

Where to start? Well I'll start with the guys side first. Travis Mack (DL) should not be that low. I expect him in the top 15. Luke Johnson (WF) was all conference last year and now you put him out of the top 20? Not gonna happen. He'll be top 20 for sure. I don't think that Daniel Naylor (S-OG) will be slower than Chris Savageau (S-OG) and Austin Battles (S-OG). The only other suggestions for guys would be that Spencer Uetz could probably beat Jamison this year, especially seeing what he did at the state track meet. Also, I think Shane Harlow will beat Waha Sem.
For the girls, the only thing I can say at this point is that Jessica Rosenau (WF) will be higher with more experience at the varsity level. She only ran 3 varsity meets last year (GF inv., EDC, and State).

These are just some of the basics...I used a lot of times from last season and also the track season and then used some of my personal research. I only say that Daniel Naylor will be slower because he has sore knees right now and is not doing much for the next two weeks while the other two are putting in the mileage and lifting. After Uetz and Gehrig...the next 8-12 spots are up for grabs...so it will be a fun season...if you can't tell...I CAN'T WAIT!!

I couldn't disagree more with some of your placements on the EDC girls. Like, Lauren Mcmillan will likely be a lot higher along with Jessica Rosenau and some other freshman.

Anjelo Shepard is placed a little too high. Bakken will be Top 20, no doubt in my mind. Andrew Torrey doesn't even have a shot at beating Bakken. Landman will be much higher. Harlow will be higher than Sem. You put Mendee too low and Dana Naylor will not beat him. I would move Baltezore down.

18. Andy Rothfusz, S-OG
19. Owen Alfonso, DL
20. Andrew Torrey, GFC
21. Francis Landman, FN
22. Travis Mack, DL

27. Brad Conant, S-OG
28. Aaron Wrolstad, FS
29. Anjelo Shepard, FN
30. Brandon Quibell, FN

No way Mendee is too low. I think he is in the right spot. I think Baltezore is in the right spot, because he will just be a freshman, and will only get faster.

you have a couple of things i would like ot make question to... one is that you have two guys( spencer kamoni, jamestown and levi sether, century) who were junior sophmore last year and 20 21 at satte last year out of the top 30 and move guys who were upper 30s into top 20? dont quite see that reasoning
