I'll guess no, but is there anyone that can compete with HCV in girls and New Town in boys?

HCV is losing more and more great runners to graduation and young runners on the girls side can turn into superstars over night. I wouldn't be suprised if someone competes with them, but I don't see anyone doing that right now.
On the boys side, a better question might be which New Town runner will win the overall?

New Town would be Top 3 in Class A IMO...maybe even higher

who did HCV lose? I looked through some of last year's results and their top 3 are back.

HCV & Rugby return several key runners...Rugby is a much tighter group, while HCV has 3 quality top runners back (Wright, Baesler & Zink)

On the boys side, how many of the top 8 WON'T be from New Town? Huber from EEK will be up there, as should Smith from Carrington. Anyone else?

Hubert will break the perfect score but it's safe to say NT will likely have 6 of top 7

New Town is the best team in the state regardless of class in my opinion and Jalen Chase should be their number 1 runner.

New Town ran well on Saturday! Top 3 runners! Too bad Century wasn't there (not that they would have beat New Town but for Class A comparison. Excited for this Saturday at McDowell Dam. I hope New Town is there too.

I guess in last Monday's poll Grace is ranked #1 in MN Class A & Lauren is #3 in MN Class A. I hope they are running at the Griak in 2 weeks!

If you had you're own rankings would they be much different?

Well I coach in Class A...so Class B isn't quite my 'forte' like it is in track...when I look at the individuals for Class B girls...I agree that the coaches poll is pretty accurate as of now. Team-wise Hillsboro-CV & Rugby are SO tight it cannot be decided right now; Always tough to figure out team rankings in Class B (except in the boys poll...New Town clear #1 - IN THE WHOLE STATE).

It's the week after the other regions...and it's their choice as a region.

New Town boys are the favorite? I assume.
I thought HCV would have a difficult time winning before Baesler's injury. Now with her out, who's the team favorite?

Is Watford City Class A for XC also...if so then dang this would have been their year. Rugby could contend...they had a good solid core of athletes last year; New Town's girls could also...they have some good young runners.

Watford city is moving to A for XC. Dang is right I thought they were going to run away with it this year. If Baesler is injured, that is going to be hard on HCV. I think it more just evens the field then giving HCV a disadvantage.

My top 5
1. Hillsboro-Central Valley
2. Rugby
3. New Town
4. Hatton-Northwood-Thompson
5. MayPortCG

Wouldn't be that surprised if any of these 5 won, but giving the nod to HCV or Rugby.

Who does HCV have after Zink? Baesler is out.
Thompson is not in a co-op with Hatton-Northwood anymore.

MJ pruneda 30th as a sophomore
Hannah Luithle 43rd as a freshman
Rugby has a good group of front runners(4 in the top 40) but there 6th runner was 95th last year
Coming into this season I would say both teams are even it will depend on how much help they get from there 7/8 graders and new recruits to there teams. Off of history I would say HCV has the advantage in that catagory. Like I said before the two teams are very even but I would give a slight advantage to HCV right now.
I did not know HNT broke up there co-op, don't know which kids are from where so I don't know if either team will be able to compete well boys or girls.
