Any predictions for the 2014 XC Season?

I don't follow Class B very close so I will just put down Class A predictions based upon last year's state meet and the state track meet.

I was at the Hillsboro meet and the Hillsboro girls REALLY ran well, I can't really see them losing against any Class B schools this year.

On the boys side, I really don't see Ryan Wheeling losing to anybody in Class B this season. He could probably be top 3 in class A as well.

How are Senior Athletes of the Year determined? Any predictions?

I am not 100% positive how it is determined but I believe it is a vote of the coaches.

For Class A, I think Jackson Binstock and Jordan Jacobs are pretty easy choices. Not sure about class B.

Voted on by coaches. Region SAoY is two athletes (a winner & runner-up) from each region. State SAoY is just one winner of the 4 nominations. I know that "off-the-field" stuff is a part of the award to..plays a small role. When coaches nominate...its almost like they are writing an athletes 'resume' when doing so. Only one athlete can be nominated from each school per gender.

Well that's unfortunate. Some schools may have a couple very deserving senior athletes that have both had several CC All-Region/All-State awards.

I agree with you. Unfortunately I don't think there is much chance for an upset and probably not very suspenseful.
