I believe Helmonski has been more consistant in the past two years. He is a two time all-state runner. I don't know though, these Lisbon runners are really coming on and Gallagher is a tough runner. Again, these are very preliminary. We will have to see this fall.

Isn't state in Dickinson this year? That will affect the outcome as well. It is a very hilly course. Look for the stronger (older) runners to come out on top. (I'm thinking Avery Olson (Thompson) and Alexis Woods (Parshall)) I believe that is the major reason we see some differences between the state 3200m results and XC results.

I see the girls B 3200m was dominated by 8th graders this year. It will be interesting to see if they mature and get tougher in XC. I know Asha Smith (WC) took 2nd last year and lauren Christenson (Rugby) is a two time all state runner. I expect their times to improve this year, but I wonder how the hills will affect them.

I see this as less of an issue on the boys side as upper classmen are usually the top runners anyway.

I'd put her first simply because she's an Anderson girl. Something about the genes in that family...

Whose idea was it to put state in Dickinson anyway? Was their brain not working at the time? Oh yeah, let's host a state meet that hundreds of people will attend and need a place to stay at in a town with no housing/hotel space available. Idiots. Complete idiots.

Sounds like the course for the State XC Meet won't be so hilly. They've changed the course from the back nine to the front nine which is flater/faster.

After that run in Mandan I wouldn't be suprised if Binstock goes sub 15 by the end of the year. With a bullet like that I put Dickinson in the running for second place teamwise. Jake, watch your back!

Not sure if you're trolling or actually believe that.
