Pool A & D look to be the Best Pools...Pool C looks to be an easy way to the Tourney for Thompson

I guess the only shock in scores here is that Hazen got swept today (the loss to Langdon isn't as schocking, the loss to Our Redeemer's is)

Central Cass and Kenmare tear through Pool D on the first day!

NO Harvey vs. Wyndmere-Lidgerwood score from Friday (checked Bismarck Tribune & GF Herald)

After seeing all two days of the tournament, the team I was most impressed with - relative to my expectations going into the tournament - was Our Redeemer's. Great team defense and they have a couple girls who can really smack the ball. I knew nothing of them going in.

W-L broke apart Langdon in the championship. On Friday I thought the Warbirds looked a little inconsistent to be a top 5 team in the state, but they played 3 solids matches Saturday afternoon against some very good teams.

I still think Langdon would win 2/3 of the time if the teams played more, but who knows going forward from here? Langdon showed some vulnerabilities, and it'll be interesting to see how all of the teams in the tournament shore-up weaknesses in their game.

I also thought Our Redeemers was a quality team. When I watched them I thought they were a little weak in the back row at times but when they got a good pass to the setter they were tough to defend. Divide County also impressed me with the two big middles they had and they played good defense. Langdon dug themselves a hole in both games against Wyndmere-Lidgerwood. Alot of unforced errors but Wyndmere looked good, they were tough at the net and their pass-receive was very good.
