Dickinson High and Dickinson Trinity are hosting the ND/SD/MT Tournament again this weekend. If you want to see high quality volleyball this is the place to be. Matches start Friday at 2pm MST. I predict that a Montana team will win again. Anyone else have any ideas?

My pick would be Century or Rapid City Stevens.

Billings Senior High won the tourney for the second straight year. Century played well and took 2nd. Rapid City Stevens was ousted by the Patriots. Lots of great volleyball. The biggest surprise was probably that Class B Hazen won the consolation championship in the gold division. They even beat Class A powerhouse Dickinson.

Region 7 was very well represented.... Hazen won the Gold bracket Consolation championship by beating Beulah in the championship game. Trinity, I believe, played for 5th place losing to Billings West. 3 class B teams in the Gold division..... all from the same district.

Fargo North won the silver division with a huge win over a very tall Rapid City Central team. (just about all their girls were over 5'10 or 6'0 including their setter.

I have been impressed with FArgo North this year and the progress they have made.

North doesn't seem to be real deep, but they have a couple of very good hitters.
