A person would have to say fargo south beings they are the 07-08 state champions.

Fargo south loses 8 seniors and returns 2 players with experience on the varsity floor. They are not the favorites next year, it will be rebuilding time for them.

Here will be my Class B picks:
Region 1: Lisbon, Northern Cass (NC has pretty much everyone back, Lisbon---has some question marks--they lose their 3 best passers and their setter--but anytime you have middles like Munkeby and Olson, things don't look quite so rough...haha)
Region 2: Thompson (does anyone ever bet against them?!)
Region 3: Linton-HMB (they lose Feist, but it's a weak region)
Region 4: Landgon (duh)
Region 5: Center-Stanton
Region 6: Kenmare
Region 7: Trinity
Region 8: Ray

Class A picks:
East:
1. West Fargo
2. Red River
3. South
4. Central (I'm kinda reaching on the 4th pick, because I think it'll be a dog-fight for that last spot)

West:
1. Century
2. Bismarck
3. Jamestown
4. Dickinson

You can't count Hazen out. Coach Wolf always has her girls ready to play + Trinity has a new inexperienced coach.
You have to hate losing more than I love winning.

They lost both of their setters, their defensive specialist, and Jamie Green. I agree that they will probably be the team to beat, but like everyone is not back at all.

Fargo South & West Fargo were handled easily by several West teams in the first cross-over in Bismarck this weekend. May be some sandbagging, but it was surprising that the East did not fair as well as expected.

I think Grand Forks Central is underestimated. They beat Dickinson and Mandan this past weekend.

I will give them Dickinson, but Mandan wont finish in the top 6 in the WDA

Wow, what a match between Jamestown and Bismarck High last night! A real nail-biter! I'd say both coaches have to be pleased with how their teams played. Way to go Blue Jays!!!!!!!!! :D

I'm a Century fan. Century played West Fargo in the semis at state. West Fargo lost. Your getting kinda cockey there, saying they will win state. You would have to keep your comments to yourself until after the state tournament because now you just look like a dumby who thinks WAYYY to highly of his/her team.

Dickinson and Mandan were deffinantley not a team to be watching this year. GFC probably SHOULDNT get credit for those games...it would be much different if they had beaten a team like CHS, BHS, or JHS...but they didnt...so I probably wouldnt be complaining that they are underestimated.

I just want to get this straight. First of all, century never played west fargo at state. Century played red river and beat them in the fifth game 16-14 while Bismarck high beat west fargo 15-13 in the fifth game. They were both very good games played with a lot of emotion. Kaitlyn Sturlaugson got hurt during that game, and I think her injury kind of brought down the spirits of her teammates. If she didn't get hurt, I think the championship game would have been closer but century would have still won. Century is a great team, don't get me wrong. Secondly, everyone makes a prediction on who will win before the state tournament occurs and west fargo was the favorite, playing it simple. They just didn't play thier game at state but were a great team. It's just sports and this happens all the time.

northern cass lost everyone but sam lako and whitney holmstrom, they wont be half as good as they were the last year. they will be decent but not top of region 1
