In Class A, I agree that Century is the team to beat in the West. Outside hitter Katie Scherr is talented and has an athletic group to support her, and Jamestown would be the other team to watch. Otherwise, I think Class A volleyball is somewhat down simply because their isn't a lot of height on the teams.

Shanley seems to have some height this year...it showed last night.

Century is favorites in Class A with Jamestown, Fargo Shanley & Bismarck right behind

Who would you say comes after Shanley in the EDC? Jamestown and Bismarck are probably 2 and 3 in the WDA but they are not very strong. How is Valley City?

From what I have seen in the past couple of seasons competition is a bit down this year. Alot of teams are rebuilding after graduating some key players. Hopefully competition picks up by the end of the year.

I'm noticing District 11 may have a contender for the Region 6 title. Rugby is looking like they could play with the good District 12 teams right now. I mean, they have an 8-2 overall record so far this year. And they only lost one player from graduation last year. This year could be quite interesting in that region.

Schedule is pretty weak because District 11 is pretty weak. They also don't play either Bishop Ryan or Our Redeemer's...the only thing is that they did beat MLS but in 5 games. I think Region 6 goes through District 12...but yes Rugby is favorite in District 11 followed by Bottineau

I can easily agree with the statement that District 11 is weak. The top teams in region 6 are definitely from district 12.

Winning the Des Lacs tournament should give the young Bearcat players a lot of confidence. Of the top 8 players, there's only one senior. The question that remains if we can get past our long-time nemesis Langdon in the regions.
