Who will be the state champs at each weight class? I will name a few of who I think will win.
Derrick Rygg-103
Andrew Grothman-189?
Kriss McCleary-215

Will Ballard make 152 again this year or will he bump to 160? He's a good kid and will do well wherever he is at... Good Luck.

Everyone is forgetting Justin Solberg from Wahpeton. He is pound for pound the best wrestler in the state. He has already commited to NDSU.

I read that he missed at least part of a day of school due to illness the day before the dual so I am sure he was really sick and not just form cutting weight.

they're just saying you can't proclaim someone top dog in that weight class on one match, especially since there was mitigating circumstances

Hey, not trying to hijack this thread, but is Damon Weigel by any chance related to Kevin Weigel? Kevin would be 38 or 39. I knew Kevin from Army BT in South Carolina. Thanks.

In a rematch of last year's state championship last night Bob Bartz from Harvey pinned Troy Jesperson from VGMS in their dual.

According to VGMS's coach, Jesperson took bartz down to his back in the first period but time ran out so it was 5-0 going into the second period when Bartz put Jesperson on his back and got the pin! Sounds like this weight could be up in the air all year.
