Huettyl is my vote for best player.  Ive seen him in approximently 15 ab's...and its a near miracle if he doesn't hit the ball hard.  He loves the offspeed stuff and he's very solid at third base.  He looks like a guy that leads by example, although I did see him get on one team mate in the tourney, not sure who.  Throws well, but the plate is where he seperates himself.

Not to harp on Huettl too much, but great players come through when they need too. Huettl had 4 walks I believe in that last inning against Velva. He is a great hitter but I wouldn't consider him a great pitcher, he's good but not great.

one inning cant take away from a players accomplishments and the level of the player....Huettl is a good player who worked hard all year long and nobody saw his 4 walks coming...he is a great player no matter what anyone says...dont hate... and oh yeah in the Minot Daily News it says Huettl was 7-2 with a 1.78 E.R.A for the Vistas last year....tell me he isnt a great pitcher

I was just saying that great players come through for their team when they need them most. I was kinda curious as to what happened to Ryan in that 2nd game, I though they would win that one.

In my opinion....baseball is exactly like hockey....any team can win at any time...it all depends on who plays well or who doesn't show up to play...the state tourney was crazy...

I would have to say schaefer but its a tough choice because a lot of players are so close in skill level....potential-wise has to be schaefer though with mayville's good baseball program and he has a lot of room to beef up
