Langdon and Grafton will play Thursday for the region 4 championship. I believe Langdon only needs to win one and Grafton would have to win two.

des lacs/burlington plays ryan for the state berth on wed.  DLB is not that bad of a team, not too sure what they got left for pitching.

Yes the Minot Ryan score is correct they lost to DLB. Jordan Huetll pitched for Ryan and Brett Senechel and Caleb Heilman pitched for DLB. Should be a good matchup today. Tiebreaker is at 1 pm at Corbett field

Dl_burlington 2004, but Bishop Ryan has some good young talent yet should be good for another 2 yrs for sure. Very good crop of sophomores

Now that we know the matchups or most of them anyways, are there any sources out there who could provide some feedback on how the teams have faired against eachother, if they have faced eachother that is. Thanks

They all met in nonregionals and oftentimes the better pitchers aren't used, but...

March 31 Velva at Steele; 1st game 4-3 Steele, 2nd game 10-0 Velva
April 7 Steele at Velva; Steele swept 17-11, 9-2
April 14 Langdon at Steele; Steele swept 8-3, 5-4
May 5 Steele at Midkota; 2-1 Midkota, 12-2 Steele

The Velva and Midkota losses bookended Steele's winning streak.

State Matchups
LLM vs. Langdon/Grafton winner
Thompson vs. Midkota
Steele vs. Rolette/Bottineau winner
Bishop Ryan vs. Velva/MLSG winner

Is that bracket order? It's the same order as the baseball regs.

Looks like Steele has played some good competition with some success.  And as for the winning streak being ended by Velva.....It was the first double header of the year.  Wouldn't call it a major winning streak.

Velva and Midkota were bookends to the streak, swept the games inbetween. It was something like 19 straight wins? I forget.
