So what does SDWTPRN have for pitching depth this year?

ahhh they have 4 arms this year that are capable of throwing in the big games.  Chris Heins, Mark Bakkum, Steve Berreth, and Dan Schwab.  Those are Steele's arms this year and are fairly deep in there rotation.

Bakkum, Heins, and Berreth also played football so this should mean they will be tough to beat.

They didn't play in three state championhip games and numerous overtime games that had alot on the line.

Football....what does playing in a football game have to do with a baseball game?  Linton won a few titles in football and they dont even have a baseball team.  That shows just cause you play football doesnt mean you play baseball let alone be just as good.

As for no depth causing 2nd place...they threw a pitcher who threw 6 shut outs innings against THOMPSON.  Giving up only 1 or 2 hits i belive.

He's just trying to say that they wont have much pressure put on them in the bigger games.  Because they've been there, they know what to expect, and how to deal with the big game expierience.

Steele-Dawson took a pair from Standing Rock tonight.  11-1 and 14-2.  In the first game Conrad Nelson was ripping the cover off hte ball going 3-3.  Mark Bakkum highlighted the second game with his Grand Slam.  Nick Lang and Klay Hetletved got the wins on the mound for the Pirates

Still, what does football have anything to do with baseball? It's an entirely different thing. Washburn's Class B 9 Man football team was ranked first in the state, but yet we recently were put down by "almighty" S-T-D  (steele-tuttle-dawson). sounds better. I'll give credit to a few guys on that team including Heins and Berreth. Heins a very good baseball player and can show sportsmanship and conduct, but others like Bakkum are just ridiculously cocky and i don't how people can support someone like that.

I wouldnt call Bakkum cocky he just get very intense in his athletics and shows alot of emotion.

lol oh i spose... yea steve berreth is a stud.  I've pitched to him many of times throughout high school and legion and he has only gotten better. I'm going to say he is the best catcher in the state because he is so powerful in all of his aspects.

I agree you with on that. He probably is one of the top catcher's in Class B. What was his average and how many HR did he have? And if Bakkum isn't cocky, what explains him doing his little dance into home in the Regional Championship. That just made him look like crap.

i think hes hitting around 490 500 and he has 3 home runs 2 against you guys

I thought he had quite a few more than that, but that's probably just cuz he has only hit them against us. And alright Bakkum, I respect your email, but that doesn't mean our little rivalry on the diamond isn't coming back next year. I'm looking forward to it buddy.

ahh lets see... 4-5 i believe we will be alright... we lose a lot of good leadership tho... were gonna miss Berreth, Nelson, Schwab, Heins, and Ochsner.. How bout you guys?

Only 3 or 4. We lose practically everyone. 7 Seniors who pretty much got us to where we were. But Richard is one of our better players and can pitch well, so idk, we'll see. Who are you matched up against at state then? And who is this other guy. "baseball"?

Larson too? i heard hes goin to Colorado... ahhh we play Rolla Rollete... they had an upset over Bottineau... i dont know much about them... you guys will be fine you and richards back... lol he can hit a curve ball thats for sure... a big one too

do u play any other sports?

Yeah Larson is gone. Going to live up his dreams in the mountains with half naked chicks in bakini's(at least that's what he said). Good luck dude. We lost to Rolette Rolla 10-1 or something like that last year in state, but beat Bottineau this year 6-4 and lost the JV game bad. Yeah he sure can.  Basketball and Football, but neither compare to Baseball.

ya kaul maybe someday if u make it down to steele i can teach u a crow hop or how to play back on power hitters so noone gets burned hehe and bakkum is not cocky ive played with mark adn his oldest brother and cocky is a harsh word to use i would say he is confident because he nos he is capable of overcoming anything brought onto him on the diamond and as for next year hope to see u guys put a team together for a little competition :D

Yeah we'll see how our team turns out. Not so sure about it.
