washburn-wilton-stanton-center took a pair from medina-tappen-cleveland, 13-1 and 11-1.

darin rasmussen had six strikeouts and a three-run homer in the fifth.

in the second game wwsc led 7-0 after one inning as rasmussen had a two-rbi triple in the first.

p-b-k beat nr-s 8-3 in their season opener and was defeated 6-3 in the second game.

in the opener rory somesen had 13 k's and a pair of hits. isac steele had a pair of hits and two rbi in a four-run third.

not much info from the second game...pbk had 5 errors, i'm assuming that led to the loss.

steele-dawson-wing-tuttle-pettibone-napoleon took a pair from medina-tappen-cleveland in the battle do the death of extended co-ops names. it does have all the sounding of a wwe main event doesn't it? the Pirate-Wildcats-Imperials versus the Firestorm-Comets-Cardinals....IN A STEELE (play on words) CAGE!!! muahahahahahahaha

anyway.....

in the first game steve berreth pitched a perfect game, albeit for three innings while mark bakkum and conrad nelson hit three run home runs. apparently nelson didn't step on second base or something so his home run was a two-run single.

in the second game dan schwab, trent oschner, mark bakkum and chris heins hit home runs. schwab and oschner hit two-run shots while bakkum and heins hit back-to-back solo homers in the fourth. heins touched second this time. bakkum went the distance, albeit four innings, and had eight strikeouts.

medina's record falls to 1-5 on the season and i have no clue on sdwtpn's

How can you forget to step on 2nd base????  I've only heard of that happening once before.  This bonehead play from Nelson even ended the inning.  As anyone seen or heard of an inning ending on a HR??

Harvey, better watch out for Midkota. I hear Midkota has had their pitching machines jacked up to 85+ so that they'll be ready for Harvey's heat.

how is velva still in the top 4 for baseball. they are extremely overrated and they dont have a whole lot of depth. I think that thompson and bishop ryan are the really good things. i am interested to see the bishop ryan Langdon game because i have not seen them. im not sure that velva is going to make it past the first round of the state tournament even if they make it. i think velva is an average team not a top 5 team at all.
