So, out of this 10 team field, which teams are we going to see in Fargo at the end of May? Are Thompson and Park River in a league of their own?

I think so, arguably the best 3 players in the state on those 2 teams. Zalvaney (sp?) twins and Schwabe

Enderlin, Thompson, Carrington, Park River, Shiloh, Velva, and Rugby all look like potential teams to see in Fargo. I only looked at last year's region tournaments though. Didn't factor in teams losing vital personnel. That being said, I believe Bishop Ryan could beat Velva to get there, along with HWC beating Rugby to get there. Should be a very competitive weekend down in Bismarck! Hopefully the weather cooperatives this spring!

I would put Leapaldt from Carrington up there as one of the top players in the state as well.

Marcus Hughes has to be right up there as well. That kid is about as a solid of a baseball player as you will find.

Its been fun watching the Seniors from both of these teams play baseball the way it should be played. Even though PRFL has come out on top in most of their meetings, the games have always been close and exciting. What’s even bigger is how respectful these players and coaches are to each other. That’s what we like to see in baseball and we hope it only continues. Two great coaches have made a positive influence on their players win or lose. In a couple years the trophies will be sitting in the closet but the friendships will remain forever.
