Unfortunately, unless you make it to State, you don't get a lot of exposure to be an All State baseball selection. Note the percentage of players on the team that played in the State tournament either this year or last, it is huge.

Right? Probably not, but it is what it is. If you weren't on the team previously or you weren't in the State tournament you probably aren't going to be a selection unless your numbers are off the charts.

You're right about that and seems also to help if you have recognition in other sports like basketball or football to get all state honors. But baseball is different sport in that skills of different sports are good to have and do help you but baseball requires mental to physical talents ability. The eye to hand is very important but you also got to recognize what is being pitched to you and situation your in when this all happening. Even I can't explain it but certain players have it and it what makes certain players better than others. I have seen very good athletes in other sports but when they play baseball they struggle to play the game become very frustrated over playing the game. Also at least in high school level size is not as important thing it comes down to your baseball abilities. Baseball just doesn't get recognition the other sports in North Dakota get especially at class b level. I wish it did because it would help baseball both for high school and summer programs.

:D I agree 100% That's why its so important to play multiple sports and not just focus on one. Parents have become a problem with youth sports. They tend to decide which sport is "the best" for their kid and push them to that sport. Let the KID! decide. The more sports you play the more fun you have.IMO!!
