A few questions:
1) what is a lot of games for a legion team (any division) to play these days?
my last 3 years of legion (long time ago) we played 43, 55, and 47 games

2) why is legion baseball so popular in MN? they have more teams than any other state in the country.

3) and how does MN manage to get by on 2 classes with 300+ teams and ND needs 3 classes for 60+

1) class A (AA now I guess) plays more than the smaller towns from my understanding. I know Minot plays about 60 games not counting post season tournaments.

2) From what I've heard, school ball is far more popular in MN. Talking to some people from St. Cloud, they only play about 25 games in a summer. And I'm talking about a team that's like 7th in the entire state. They said Legion just isn't that big of a deal over there

You have to remember that Legion baseball is not what it use to be!! Most of the best kids in other states don't play Legion! It's still good, but down south and west almost none existent!

USSSA is really big and a ton of AAU type tournaments! You see a lot of scouts at these events.

Wow, the more I look at it, North Dakota is one of the few not associated with it! I think a couple all star type teams went to a few tournaments! As big as USSSA is you can see why Legion has become so small around much of the country

also perfect game tournaments are huge down south that's what everyone down south,Cali,Arizona, play.at the age of 14 you start looking to play on a select travel team and all you do is tourneys.talk about scouts?? there's tons of them. i think Iowa also is big on perfect game tourneys,as they host a lot of them.

Iowa only has 19 legion teams and I believe their HS season goes well into the summer.
