lakota gets the top seed in region 3 with the win. lakota's big inning (bottom of the fourth) was helped out by five midkota errors, beginning with a misplayed double play attempt that got no one out and left the bases loaded with no out.
second place in the region is still up for grabs. midkota plays dakota prairie and new rockford on saturday prior to dp and nrs playing each other and then midkota plays dp again on monday.

in the first game sheldon harding struck out nine. jordan grover was 3-for-3 with his third home run this season (solo) in the second. in the same inning garrett harding hit his first home run this season, a three-run shot. he was 2-for-4.
in the second game harding hit a 2-run rbi double with midkota leading 4-3 and dakota prairie would get no closer. joel anderson struck out eight, gave up five hits and allowed six walks.
midkota plays dp on monday and if they win they clinch the 2 seed in region 3.

I doubt Velva got a hit if Buxa and Lorenz pitched.

i see velva smoked em   10 to 1   and 12 to 3.   T Weidler had 10 K's in five innings in game 1.   Frantz took the loss in game 1, Lorenze in game 2

12 runs in five innings. I'm not sure on the exact amount of hits, but all if not most of the runs were all earned. Lorenz actually gave up a homerun.
