no the tournament was in Williston.  Williston was the host and Bismarck was the state champion.  That would be the case if it was in Minnesota, but it wasn't.  SD doesn't go to Babe Ruth regionals for some reason so I am guessing Minnesota got two teams either because they're closest to ND or because they have the biggest population.

Yes, the 2005 Bismarck 15's went 1-3 and their only win was against the eventual champion.  The 2004 Bismarck 13's went 3-1 in pool play and lost in the semi's

I think there have been a number of North Dakota teams that have played in the babe ruth world series.  Bismarck has had at least five teams advance to the show. In 1995, Bismarck's Bambino (12 & under) team won their first game and then lost the next two.  In 2000, Bismarck's 15 year olds went 2-2 (won, lost, won, lost). Minot had a Bambino team in the world series in 2001???, I think they were 0-2.  Williston and Bismarck each had a team in the 15 year old world series in Williston in 2003, both teams were 0-4 in pool play. Bismarck had a 13 year old team in the world series in 2004, if I remember correctly they went 3-1 in pool play, got a bye and then lost in the medal round to tie for third place. Most recently, Bismarck had a 15 year old team in the world series in 2005, they were either 1-3 or 2-2 in pool play. Williston hosted a babe ruth world series in 1982, as the host team they were 0-2. Rumor has it that a Fargo babe ruth team also advanced to the world series in the mid 1980's but I do not know how they did.

Good luck West Fargo.

I have heard that there has only been about 8 total teams from N.D. to make it...it no longer is a town they represent the state which is a great thing...to bad the 15's from Bismarck did not make it as that would have made 2 teams from N.D. which would have been awesome....good luck West Fargo....

I played on the Bismarck 15's that went to the series  in '03 when it was in Williston same with Sauceauer ,but we got rocked in every game but 1.

Anyways, looks like Bryant, Ark will be a tough matchup for WF they've looked pretty good in their other games.

We got outscored like 56-12 or somthing but Justin Connel did hit the first HR of the series in a game that we almost did win we were leading 3-1 and lost 5-3 the rest were blowouts
