Now that the pairings are set for the Class A State Tourney, how will it turn out?

Minot vs. Devils Lake
Mandan vs. GFRR
Williston vs. GF Central
Century vs.  Fargo North

Who is the favorite?  Dark Horse?  No Chance?

Minot over D-Lake
GFC over Williston(only because of Landry pitching)
Red River over Mandan
North over Century

2nd round:
Minot over GFC(I think this will be a very good match up)
North over Red River
Williston over D-Lake
Century over Mandan

3rd round:
Minot over North
Central over Red River
Williston over Century
D-Lake over Mandan

Favorite:Minot
Dark Horse: Grand Forks Central  (I see them coming close to Minot in the semi's)
I dont think there is any team that doesnt have a chance.

Anybody know who Devils Lake will most likely throw against Minot?

DL started a kid named Scott Svidal in the opener of the East Regional. He got roughed up pretty good by Red River, so I'm not sure if he's the ace or not.

I am guessing it's a moot point. I think DL is probably the only team that doesn't have a chance of winning the whole tourney. Other than that, it's anyone's ballgame, IMO.

If Minot gets the pitching the did at West Region, they will be tough to beat. But in tourney time, there are no sure things.

I'd have to put Minot as the favorite and for a darkhorse, GF Red River. They can really hit the bleep out of the ball. They are a lot like Williston. They can hit with anyone, and if they can even get decent pitching, they'll be tough to beat.

North has the pitching to make a run in the State....dark horse is coming with a spartan on top

North a dark horse? I think not. They have to be considered a close second to Minot as far as favorites go.

How is their pitching depth? We all know that Ebert is one of the top pitchers in the state.

Landry vs Lundy tomorrow, gonna be a great game.  Pitchers duel, I see the game being low scoring and I believe Minot will get to Landry as the game goes on.  I'll say Minot 3 Grand Forks Central 2.

I believe Landry will out pitch Lundy and upset Minot 1-0 both pitchers will have double digit K's, but GFC is on a roll as of late so I have them vs North in the championship.

That was a good call with landry outpitching Lundy...They are both solid pitchers but I think that Landry has more capability to really control a game over Lundy.  Anybody that can throw 90 MPH in ND baseball should be able to take control of a game.

Andy Leer beat out Tom Ebert for Senior Athlete of the Year.  Just wanted to say congrats to Andy on a terrific high school career.
