Why is the #1 Seed playing the early game? I understand Minot playing the late game, but didn't Bismarck at least earn the 5 o'clock game? The one conference idea for class A legion was a great idea, but the "regional/qualifying" tournament set ups have been ridiculous and now they are dropping the ball for the State Tournament.

How about Mandan beating Fargo 15-3...

ouch. mandan continues to stay hot. fargo will probably go "two and bbq" now.

I think it's less of Mandan being hot and more of the West just being so much better.
Just look at the Seeding tournament from last weekend

Talk about the East embarrassing themselves, Fargo had 8 errors and GF gave up 11 walks Those are embarrassing numbers.

The Govs will now play the loser of Minot-Dickinson

Bismarck beat Dickinson 12-7 and Minot beat Mandan 15-4 in 7. Bismarck will play Minot and the winner will play Dickinson.

I think its dickinson's year, so many offensive weapons, and it will be their 1st state title for Legion

A couple of notes from today's action :

Due to rain this morning in Minot, the 1pm game was pushed back to 2pm.

Bismarck defeated Minot 4-2. Zac Elgie hit a home run in the loss for the Vistas, his 4th of the tournament. Zach Wentz got the win on the hill for Bismarck.

The championship game starts at 5pm and can be heard on http://www.kdix.com, the Dickinson station covering the game.

Dickinson is looking for its first ever State Championship in the 50 year history of the State Class A Legion Tournament.

Bismarck has 11 State Class A Legion Championships, but none since 1997.

Dickinson vs. Bismarck for a spot in the Central Plains Region Tournament in Minot starting on Thursday.

Yeah kid can flat out pitch, great pitcher, perfect mechanics, and he will have many more big wins in his legion career to come
