The question has been asked "Who you think the best players are for each of the 9 WDA teams".  Here's what I want to know: Who is the best 2006 varsity player from the west region at each position (P, C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, LF, CF, RF, AND DH) and why?

P- Tyler Lundy and Shane Gathman Minot, solid stuff and very consistent with the offense to back him up.
C- Bohan, most experience of any of the catchers coming back because so many catchers graduated last year
1B- Elgie and Liffrig (when healthy); solid hitters all around and both can get it done with the glove.
2B- Ryne Hornecker; solid defensively and the Vistas experience should help him offensivly
SS- Without a Question Leer from Williston; smoothest infielder in the state and also can hit
3B-  ????
OF- Coyle (Mandan) when he's healthy; swings a hot stick and can make the plays in the outfield
OF- Ryan Lee (WHS) another one of their solid senior class
OF- Tyler Lundy- Nothing needs to be said.
Utility (cause he's not going to DH) Cole Frenzel; solid hitter, pretty good defensively

P - Lundy (Minot) throws hard, consistant, great offspeed
C - Bohan (St. Mary's) hits for average and can knock extra-base hits, got experience at varsity level
1B - Elgie (Minot) Good fielder, but doesn't need to be perfect in field with his ability to score with one swing
2B - Hornecker (Minot) Quick hands in the field and at the plate
3B - Geinert (Centrury) Great foot speed, always threat to lay one down
SS - Leer (Williston) Strong arm, strong bat, quick turn at 2
OF - Lee (Williston), Coyle (Mandan), Erhardt (St. Mary's) all three play very similar, make plays in the field, bat for average, consistant in both aspects
DH - Liffrig (Willston) lost to Elgie on BA
DH - Frenzel (Dickinson) lost to Leer on Fielding

P. S. - I chose no one twice, i.e. Lundy
