as long as gathman pitches at state the way he has pitched all season, i think he'll run away with it.

Gathman shoud get it with his no earned runs in 32 innings this year, is there anyone form the east that could put up a good challenge?

It's tough to argue against Gathman... Maybe if there is a player who has hit the ball really well and has also been very good defensively or a good pitcher.

If not, I say Gathman... Even pitching against little leaguers, 32 consecutive innings of shutout ball is impressive.

i think it is. it was between leer and ebert last year and they were the west and east representatives. who was given senior athlete of the year from the west this year?

Shane Gatham of Minot...he was something like 6 - 0 on the mound with 32 innings pitched 0.00 ERA, I dont know how he hit though.

id give it to gathman. 32 innings without an earned run and his team is going to state.

Are those hitting stats a fact, or is it a guess? Not trying to knock on Tanner, but from what i've seen this year that is hard to believe. Also, would those be conference or non-conference?</span>

I wouldn't doubt it.  He hit 2 doubles off of you in that first North vs Shanley game earlier this year shs.

Tanner is 22 for 46 which is a .478 batting average in conference games. straight out of the forum for ya.

Gathman gets my vote.  He is also batting over 300 with an on base % of like 450.

The only two people that can win the award are the east player of the year which is Andy Sadler and the west player of the year which is Gathman

The award is between Gathman and Sadler

So Gathman has it in the bag.
