With EDC starting today, I figured i would make the thread to update the West part of the state and people who didnt come up for their teams game.

In Game 1, (6)West Fargo played (3)Whap.  Final score was 5-1 West fargo. Not sure who pitched and what not but that was the score.

Game 2 is Grand Forks Central vs Grand Forks Red River.

 

 

West Fargo was Horsager...wahpeton was Tollefson

Central 1 red river 0  Kreis and Kraft

Anymore results on todays games?

North beat Devils Lake 6-2

South beat Shanley 4-2

FARGO - Alex Kreis pitched a two-hitter to lead Grand Forks Central to a victory against Grand Forks Red River in the first round of the East Region tournament Thursday.

Kreis also had a hit and game's only RBI.

Michael Kraft took the loss for Red River, as Central had just four hits.

Central advances to today's semifinals against West Fargo. Red River will play a loser-out round game against Wahpeton.

Shanley over Devils Lake

Central over WF

North over South

Central  9    West Fargo  5

Central scored 4 runs in the 8th to break a tie game.   5 consecutive batters  attempted suicide squeezes with the bases loaded or runners on 2nd and third.  Three were successful and the fourth run scored on a balk during a squeeze. 

7th seeded Central advances to state again. 

WF will play Shanley  in a state qualifying game.

West Fargo beats Shanley, West Fargo advances to state. 

Only two of the top five seeds in the East will advance to state! 

South 11  over RR 2
