Snow

Postby shs01240 » Tue Apr 03, 2007 6:24 am

Just a thread for all those like me, who just want to play ball, but can't because there is a snowstorm going on! Please, feel free to vent.
I never blame myself when I'm not hitting. I just blame the bat and if it keeps up, I change bats. After all, if I know it isn't my fault that I'm not hitting, how can I get mad at myself?

what will this do to the season?  will schools just cancel non-conference games...like the ones with MN teams...or will the schedules be unaffected?

Most schools will probably attempt to re-schedule as many games as possible. For example, Fargo schools could re-schedule against Moorhead but the farther games may get cancelled.  Schools will save as many games as they can to prepare for their conference season.  And I feel the same way as everyone else I hate this snowstorm and cant wait to get outside and play.  This is our third striaght week inside we have our doubleheader with South off for next. and prolly the same against Wahp. next Thurs.   If we cant get out next week that would be the 4th straight week of practicing inside.

this snow is ridiculous. you know somethings wrong when its april and you have baseball practice cancelled because of snow...and then you get stuck in the snow a block away from home. small cars+lots of snow=no good.

what effect does everybody think the weather will have on the rest of the season? i could see it burning some kids out towards the end of the season when the conference games are made up and they have to play 4 double-headers a week

yeah it will effect just about everybody's pitching staffs... teams with no depth for pitching will hurt them a lot

Yea pitching depth will definately show and I believe West Fargo has an nice advantage, since they have on of the deepest pitching staffs in the state.  But I dont know if we will see 4 double-headers in a week because teams in the F-M or Bismarck-Mandan area can play each other only once if they have to and make both games conference games only each team will be home for one game.  Its a tough situation but could definately happen with the ugly weather.

GF Central won't play their first game until Friday April 20th, and won't play their first EDC game until April 23rd vs Red River.  Red River will have already played 6 EDC games by that time.  The weather really messed up the schedule.
