Senior Athlete of The Year

Postby kel20Nd » Sat Feb 10, 2007 8:16 am

Now that the baseball season is coming who are some of the top seniors that should be mentioned coming into the season?  To me there really isnt any great players like Ebert, Leer, Lundy, Liffrig, and Travis Fleck from Mandan.

Elgie is a monster and is high on my list.

Bombenger-FN and Scholl-FS are solid players.

sorry this is bothering me....isn't it Sholl, not like the foot doctor.
I never blame myself when I'm not hitting. I just blame the bat and if it keeps up, I change bats. After all, if I know it isn't my fault that I'm not hitting, how can I get mad at myself?

no one from the east should even be considered in STATE player of the year....the west stats are always inflated (im not accusing them of lying or anything, but if you look at the west stats from last year, it seems like every player hits at least 5 bombs)and the hitting out there outweighs the pitching by a longshot. Tom Ebert, last year's East POY was 12-2 with a .74 era, 112 K's and 3 HR's. And he wasnt even on the ballot for Gatorade Player of the Year.

You're right, the west did have really good numbers last year.  They don't dominate every year though.

Id say it will be the best player on the best team.  And that leaves the award to kory Houston.

Id have to agree with you highheat.Zac Eglie is the best player on Minot. Kory Houston is an outstanding player but I dont know if hes 2nd best imo I gotta put Teddy Anderson up there to.
It's a round ball and a round bat, and you got to hit it square.

who knows how anyone is going to be hitting with wood bats, and all the pitching stats will go way down obviously, so its a toss up, it could be someone that no one even thought was good that could win
